Description

In Effect Board mode, you are given a visual representation of your signal path whereby each of the six simultaneous effects will be assigned to a stomp you can switch on and off within your chain. This will be home base for many players as it gives you immediate access to different effects within your chain to punch in or out depending on the needs of the song. Finally, in Effect Board mode, the B6 touchscreen displays the effects chain for the selected patch, with the front‑edge footswitches assigned to enable or bypass four of the maximum of six effects. Assigning an effect to a footswitch is as simple as ‘dragging’ on the touch screen from the effect icon to the appropriate footswitch icon. With the B6 in Bank/Patch mode, select an empty effects slot and then switch to Effects Board mode. The touchscreen will display six instances of the bypass ‘effect’. But since so many of the effects include a mix or wet/dry blend feature, I found it to be unnecessary for most applications.

The recommended retail price is EUR 534.31, so hopefully the street price will be under EUR 500. There is a lot on offer here, and it looks as though Zoom has included all the basics and more. Gigging bass players and home users alike are sure to appreciate this new bass multi-effects processor from Zoom. More Information on Zoom And finally, with a patch built you can swipe down to the settings menus to rename and save it (although the default behaviour of the B6 is actually to auto‑save patches). You can also assign four effects in a patch to a specific front‑edge footswitch, although if you find yourself in a situation where individual effects need bypassing or enabling during a performance, building a separate patch is probably more sensible. The four Effect footswitches along the bottom of the unit change their function according to the current Play Mode. Here, in Effect Board mode, the lower four footswitches engage and bypass four of the current patch’s six stompbox models. Looper: I'm not a looper guy, but if you are and looper time/capacity matter to you, the SD card slot solves this problem You might need this manual in the future. Always keep it in a place where you can access it easily.

Amp and Cab Simulations: Whether you're new to bass or a seasoned pro, the B6 Multi-FX comes with a vast selection of sounds to suit any scenario. Made up of 36 impulse responses that consist of 12 iconic rigs that's been mic'd in three separate positions, players can choose between iconic tube and solid-state amps. Not only that, but with a range of cabinets spanning from the past 60 years, bassists can make their sound authentically theirs. Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided.

Elsewhere on the B6 you’ll find an onboard SD/SDX card slot for recording and an integrated USB audio interface to record straight to your DAW of choice. There is also an external expression pedal input, plus an optional Bluetooth BTA-1 expansion port for wireless control of the B6 unit via the dedicated Guitar Lab app and the obligatory effects loop, which allows you to integrate your favourite pedals. Price Impressively easy to use, bassists will be able to refine and jump between sounds effortlessly, making this compact reasonably priced multi-fx pedal a must-have. Key Features: The experiment with discrete Send and Return did work to create a pseudo-parallel path. Kind of funky getting it sorted. Touch Screen Usability: Consisting of a 4.3" colour LCD touch-screen interface, setting up, selecting or adjusting your tones is made simple and fast. Zoom B6 Bass Multi-Effects Processor Specifications: In Memory mode, the touchscreen displays the four patches in the selected bank along with arrow icons that scroll either way through the banks. The patches are also assigned to the four front footswitches. Pressing one, or touching one of the screen icons, will enable the patch. Memory mode, with its easy access to four patches, is really well suited to selecting alternate patches for different sections of a song. Patches can be easily renamed and could reflect song sections (intro, verse, chorus, break, for example).

With four DI models and advanced multi-effects, the B6 gives you freedom to explore entirely new sounds.

It's a thing of beauty. The pictures don't do it credit. While everyone else produces near identical machines, or apes the Line6 range, Zoom as ever, do their own thing. It's the stealth bomber of multi effects. With bright coloured lights. So not really that stealthy.Effects Board mode is also where you begin to configure and fine‑tune patches. This can be done by creating them from scratch or copying and modifying a preconfigured patch, but either way, it’s where all the fun starts. The B6 offers a total of 119 effects, each with an individual set of parameter controls, across 13 categories. The categories, followed by the number of effects in each are: Filter (13), Drive (13), Preamp (13), Bass Amp (11), Bass Cab (12), Modulation (17), SFX (7), Delay (7), Reverb (8), Pedal (6), Send/Return (3), and Impulse Response (1). Most of the categories are self‑explanatory, but those that perhaps aren’t work as follows...

I may use my BassBox outboard of the B6 in some situations so that I can load the B6 up with effects only. IMO, pretty much everything about the B6 is a better than the B3n. Unless you're fully wedded to the WYSIWYG stomp switches and knobs legacy design (in which case the G11 would suit you better...for a jump in cost), there's almost nothing I prefer on the B3n vs. the B6. B3n is smaller, if that matters. Both require a little tap-dancing to switch their "play modes" from stomp mode to bank/patch to memory. This could be improved for the B6. Processed by legendary Zoom technology, no matter what DI type you need for your sound, the B6 Multi Effects Bass Processor will deliver super-fat bottom end thanks to the analogue circuit modelling as well as an articulate top end from the 88.2kHz sampling frequency. Powerful recording and editing software However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers.
