About this deal

I use them with Wemo plug sockets to allow me set timers and switch them on or off remotely, very useful for heating up my outbuilding on a frosty morning.

The temperature can be modified to various settings so it is great for leaving on if you need a little extra heat at night. Also, I'd recommend using it with a timer switch, that way you could use an awkward wall plug up without having to fumble behind your furniture to switch it on or off. It actually suggests running the heater outside on full for a few hours but it's so wet and damp I wouldn't feel happy putting an electrical appliance outside and I've never heard of this 'gassing' before sounds like it could be nonsense? Made to be used over longer periods of time compared with inferior radiators, the Vento uses diathermic oil to release heat gradually, while a chimney effect strongly pushes the outgoing airflow, making the air hotter and circulate around the room more. The company 'Aghezty' works in the field of online sale of all electrical and electronic devices, air conditioners, mobile devices, intercoms, alarms and monitoring devices, and provides high-quality products with advanced technology that meet the desires and expectations of the consumer.I was quite surprised to see setting 2 being so close to the same power consumption as setting 1, but there you go. On first turn on, it does give off a not particularly bad, but strange smell, almost like a new plastic smell when you first turn on new electronics.

First thing you will notice is how good it looks (for a radiator that is), it does not look out of place in the corner of a room and is far away from the normal sqare and chunky design. There is a slight new smell but with each use it decreases and, if you keep your door open, that allows for ventilation. I use it in my bedroom with an electrical plug-in thermostat which has been a very good economical set-up. They do make a sort of pleasant crackling sound of heating oil when turned on from cold if used on the highest setting (which is disconcerting at first if you aren't used to oil-filled heaters but is perfectly normal! Its variable thermostat has frost protection and a choice of three heat settings, with a safety cut out switch to prevent it from overheating. I bought this for my daughter's bedroom; it's got a large bay window and is on the side of the house that never gets sun, so it does tend to get cold at night. Common to all heaters of this type it's obviously not ideal to have the thermostat right next to the heater, but it serves a purpose, and can be trusted to maintain a reasonable temperature. The above review I made on or around 26/4/2013 and have used this oil filled radiator ever since and the winters here are very, very cold!

I think if we had not wanted the machine in operation quickly we may have tried to find a white heater. It features the 'Venturi effect' in which an internal chimney-like structure increases convective air flow. Living in Isle of Skye (Highlands) our central heating is by oil and we have a small wood burner in the lounge. I don't mind so much if the smell is normal, though I don't find it particularly nice, was just worried it might indicate a fault as I have two other oil filled heaters (Swan branded) and these don't smell at all. If you use the thermostat it does maintain a steady temperature - this works better than I expected. It takes around 10 minutes to heat up and once up to temperature the heat it gives off is quite impressive, even on setting number 1. My view is NO electrical appliance should be used in the bathroom unless it is designed for bathroom use and it correctly wired in by an electrician. This convective effect increases the speed at which the room is heated, in addition to the radiant heat produced.
