About this deal

I had worked on the second unit reshoots of a Corman drive-in movie that was written and directed by Charles B. So in 1963, Reed was cast in the TV Debussy life; and later Russell used his lubberliness, and willingness to expose himself in every possible way, in his 1969 feature film Women In Love (in which Reed was rather more like Seth Starkadder in Cold Comfort Farm, undoing another button of his shirt, than DH Lawrence's Gerald Crich); and, better, as Urbain Grandier in The Devils (1971). His 10-year marriage to the Irish model Kate Byrne produced his son Mark, but came to an end in 1970.

One is almost inclined to feel sorry for the retinas of our American cousins, given that this show wasn’t broadcast in colour on its original UK showing (colour TV didn’t start here until the end of the decade, and remained something of a minority pursuit until the mid-1970s). But then again, classic Avengers is all about big set pieces, rather than tight and innovative plotting, not to mention servicing its two leads with some properly beefy material. His final role was the elderly slave dealer Proximo in Ridley Scott's Gladiator (2000), in which he played alongside Richard Harris, [31] an actor whom Reed admired greatly both on and off the screen.Nominated for a Tony Award for the role, she'll find out if she's a winner during the June 12 awards ceremonies.

Reed's first break was playing Richard of Gloucester in a six-part BBC TV series The Golden Spur (1959). Reed was the subject of This Is Your Life in 1986 when he was surprised by Eamonn Andrews at Rosslyn Park rugby club in west London. As a result of his death, Reed's remaining scenes in Gladiator had to be completed using a body double and computer-generated imagery (CGI) techniques. Reed’s lineage also included Peter the Great of Russia (who he resembles almost exactly) and his uncle was Sir Carol Reed, son of Tree by his mistress, who was rivaled only by Hitchcock as the preeminent director in 20th Century British cinema. In 1993, Reed was unsuccessfully sued by his former stuntman, stand-in and friend Reg Prince, for an alleged spinal injury incurred by the latter while on location for the filming of Castaway.action alien invasion animation Awix's picks Babylon 5 BBC Blake's 7 Blood Angels cheap gags Christopher Lee cobblers comedy Continuity Hell costume drama DC Dispatches from the Front documentary Dracula drama fantasy Godzilla Hammer horror ITV James Bond Jason Statham J Michael Straczynski kung fu Mark Strong martial arts Marvel Michael Caine monster movie musical Peter Cushing Politics post-apocalyptic rom-com romance satire SF Star Trek Steven Moffat suitamation superhero Survivors The Avengers thriller Tom Cruise Tom Hanks true story (?
