About this deal

They are the mostly made up of authentic parts of me, but how much easier would it be to be 100% true to myself all the time… but then what I would I leave to be with my closest and what social boundaries and etiquette would that cross? Fearne had an eager upbeat way of talking which works well for radio and for this book, as if she was interviewing herself, but I think this is part of why it felt more like a podcast. L oved it - without judgement, but with a cheeky wink of wisdom, Fearne gives you the tools that she's learned on her own journey.

It speaks to the way I have hidden my true self and been afraid of speaking my truth for fear of the consequences. Rebecca has been a part of the Happy Place Tribe since the beginning providing tips, interviews and sessions with how the breath can help us through challenging times. Social conditioning does have a huge part to play in much of this but it is often strength of character that drives the ratio of nature vs nurture. When do we swallow down our authentic words to become pleasers and compromisers at the cost of our own happiness or wellbeing? This was the first in a series of books talking about her own, and some of the not so positive, experiences with happiness.

Brave, vulnerable and deeply personal, Speak Your Truth shares Fearne's compelling story and helps you to shape your own. Loved it - without judgement, but with a cheeky wink of wisdom, Fearne gives you the tools that she's learned on her own journey. At the start of 2020, Cotton discovered she was at risk of needing a throat operation, followed by weeks of recovering in silence.

As she considered what silence would mean, Fearne began to think about other times her voice had gone unheard - as a young woman, as 'just the talent', as the foil to louder, more dominant figures. It's about learning to be your true self, listening and being honest with yourself to enable yourself to be happy.I love Fearne and I love Happy Place but I gave up on this because it felt like I was her therapist in a personal session. I have a hard time speaking up so not to offend others and this has really given me the confidence to do otherwise. About the Author: Fearne Cotton is one of the best known and most popular broadcasters in the UK and is most recently known as the Founder of the wellbeing brand, Happy Place.
