It didn't matter that the words were barely audible; it didn't matter that the dragon had no language to understand them.

This could be a very cathartic reading experience for some or possibly very, very upsetting and triggering.

I was a little surprised that Kitty herself didn’t seem super concerned about it, viewing it more as a nuisance that this anonymous person being in her business than someone who could very easily turn her in or at least tip someone off about her. And to ask him "did you ever really love me" obviously tf not and WHY does it matter a handful of years later? I did like the climax part of her experiencing guilt and I almost wish that had been developed and explored a little further. It really punches you in the gut, as a woman reader, when you feel the rush of relatability (to the lack of safety when surrounded by predatory men, not the murder, I hope) and then the ensuing disappointment when you realise that even these days, this is the reality for women.

Kitty forms a cute connection that allows her softer side to be shown and drives some character growth. Conveniently, as the heiress to Collins Cuts (even if she is vegan and refuses her share of the profits), she has the perfect disposal method available.
