About this deal
The conflicts and emotions are real and raw and you’ll find yourself relating to so many arguments and points of tension.
Meanwhile Grace's great -grand-daughter Beca is oblivious to all these worries, too busy navigating the highs and lows of teenage life and keeping secrets of her own. Ruth's second novel, Us Three , was an instant Sunday Times bestseller in hardback and paperback and has sold almost a quarter of a million copies. The novel is set in Jones’s beloved Wales, and scattered with Welsh terms of endearment, which adds to the sensation of reading it wrapped in a comfort blanket. It got into the depths of mother / daughter / grandmother / great grandmother relationships in such a wonderful and both heartbreaking and endearing way.A story of three generations, misunderstandings, heart break, rescue, love and ultimately coming together.
Grace doesn’t want a traditional celebration for her birthday, but her granddaughter Elin has other ideas. This is an emotional , heartwarming and captivating read and I finished it in one afternoon , completely unable to put it down ! It is such a well written book, with the characters being fully formed and believable, it had me rooting for the best outcome for them all.Thank you to NetGalley, Random House and the author Ruth Jones for the opportunity to review this wonderful book. She has no idea quite what will happen next and whatever it is, it is sure to cause trouble in the family.
