Kratos has a great center of gravity and feels solid so he's able to stand freely without any extra support, both with and without the axe.Awesome figure, box came perfectly intact and the figure looks amazingly detailed, the shield and axe fit perfectly in his hands and he is reasonably poseable.

Minus the fact he doesn't have many points of articulation and his axe doesn't split in two (like its supposed to) without excessive force, which would otherwise break it; this is a superb figure if you're a fan of the series, with fantastic detailing and proportions. This menacing 7" scale action figure features over 30 points of articulation and an incredibly realistic sculpt. But only 4 stars because the shield doesn't have an attachment point and the figure itself is difficult to stand.The patchy white paint that covers his body is perfectly rendered, as it is not Kratos’s skin that is white, but the ashes of his loved ones that he was forced to wear as punishment.

The packaging is a nice window box and per NECA's recent releases, you can take out the inner sleeve art and use it as a quick and nice backdrop for the figure - in this case it's actually the video game's cover art minus Kratos and his son, Atreus, obviously. The only issue relating to my figure was the right arm at the elbow joint is awfully stiff to the point that applying too much pressure to move it and I'm scared it might break. The small part pictured below the dagger is part of Kratos’s wrist gauntlet that pops out to attach the shield to his arm. For the shield it has a peg on the underside that slots onto Kratos left arm by removing the middle plate steel on his wrist gauntlet. Not slots or handles etc also it's really difficult getting him to stand without putting him in a wierd pose .
