The same goes with her talk about the planet’s beauty and of humans, many times they contradict one another or shift on a whim making her look like a hypocrite or sometimes overly petty. While probably intended as character development it isn’t written in a way in which her decisions develop and gradually change. Spared extinction by the gift of Primaris Space Marines from Roboute Guilliman and Belisarius Cawl , the Flesh Tearers have set about doing what they do best – slaying their enemies and claiming worlds for the Imperium. However, in their eagerness, they’ve left their home world isolated.

Vashtorr the Arkifane’s quest for the Key-fragments is nearing its end, and the action turns to the dead world of Arthas Moloch in the fourth chapter in the epic narrative series, Arks of Omen: Farsight . Commander Shadowsun is the master of the way of the Patient Hunter – clad in her custom Stealth Battlesuit , she lures the enemies of the t’au into inescapable snares and deadly crossfires. While it has good intentions it definitely needed a few rewrites and an editor who knew the tau better before it was released. As it stands for both character drama and as an example of the tau way of thinking you’re better off buying a copy of Fire Warrior and reading that. Commander Shadowsun has bested near every foe that dared to stand against her, but the Death Guard present an altogether new challenge in Phil Kelly’s Shadowsun: The Patient Hunter . With ancient warriors and corpulent daemons confounding her understanding of reality, O’Shaserra will need to test her understanding of Kauyon and stretch her abilities to the limit to prevent an all-out schism between her forces and her allies.
