Further down the grid after a turn one collision caused by Alfa Romeos Zhou Guanyu, he was hit with a +5 penalty. After an impressive Saturday Zhou fell from 5th to 16th. Saturday at Spa for the F3 grid was a wet one. The Sprint Race saw 3 safety car interventions and ultimately ended behind it. Caio Collet set the fastest time of those who got over the line before the red flag flew again when Dufek on full send during his first Qualifying session took to much curb through turn 8 and ended in the gravel, unable to continue. Again the grid returned to the pitlane. Among other changes, an extra cooling duct will be permitted after concerns of heat exposure in extreme conditions. The first Singapore Grand Prix in 2008 was won by Alonso and the Renault team in one of the most famous cheating scandals the sport has ever seen. Nelson Piquet Jr was instructed by team boss Flavio Briatori and Chief Engineer Pat Simmons to crash into the wall at turn 17(removed for 2023) because there was no crane in that area and it would guarantee a safety car, he agreed to do so with the understanding that he would be resigned to the Renault team for 2009. On lap 13 Renault pit Alonso, lap 14 Piquet crashes into the wall and when everyone else pits Alonso assumes the lead and bish bash bosh Renault win the very first Singapore Grand Prix...............but they didn't resign Piquet Jr and he wasn't happy about it, so he exposed the whole thing to the FIA and the world. Briatori was orginally given a life time ban for participating in any FIA governed motorsport (this was lifted a while ago), Pat Simmons took a short ban but ultimately returned to the F1 pitlane years later. Alonso was allowed to keep the win and the result stood with everyone keeping their points, but this has now become the center of the Massa legal case for having the 2008 championship result changed because the points for this race should never have been given if Renault cheated. We wait with baited breath to see the outcome of this first of it's kind court case. Its important to state that Alonso still denies any knowledge of the events taking place around him( but didnt question why he was pit 11 laps early) and to this day claims this win as one of his best.

These were among a series of changes announced after a meeting at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Friday of the F1 Commission, the sport's rules think-tank that includes all the teams, along with governing body the FIA and commercial rights holder F1. It is also worth noting that the rods are guided by the piston and have no thrust surfaces to guide them on the crank webs as shown below, The big end drillings - each journal shares two rods - these holes enter into the internal oilway and are 3.5mm in diameter. They also have an eased trailing edge to promote oil wedge formation at low rpm in respect to the hydrodynamic oil film present between journal and shell pairs,

Do F1 journalists go to races?

If you want to be an F1 journalist, whether you start off by focusing solely on F1 or by covering other championships to work on the skills you need to build up, the learnings will be much the same – but often smaller categories can be easier to break into. The main thing is to have a way to build up a body of work that you can showcase and helps you to develop. So far this year we have seen Redbull, Aston Martin, Mercedes, Ferrari, Alpine, and most recently Mclaren on the podium, showing over half the grid has the potential to compete near the top. It's very tempting to simply go on championship wins as, surely, the very pinnacle of any competition is to be at the top of the tree and win that title? The easy answer is yes, as what is the point of competing if you aren't playing (or in this case, racing) to win? And it is also simpler to decide on this as you only have to go as far as the BTCC history books to find out. This historic finish comes after the 22-year-old was stripped of her points finish at the beginning of this month. Floersch finished p9 in the round 6 feature race in Spielberg only to be disqualified due to front wing illegalities. The PHM no.29 front wings endplates were found to only be 67.5mm and 67.3mm above the reference plane, breaching the technical regulations that state in Art. 4.3.13 “No part of the front wing endplate may be less than 70 mm above the reference plane and more than 80mm above the reference plane”. F1's sporting advisory committee will study the potential ramifications before the idea is put up for formal approval in January.

I have not yet looked at the angular dimensions bar cading it, but I suspect there is some machined in twist so that the crank runs true under power. I'll make the above angle offset call-outs a bit clearer with some cad next week. There is also some consideration being given to reversing at least some portion of the grid for the sprint. Why girlbands are more radical than you might think: Chart the surprising history of some of the most iconic British girlbands
