I have to admit that I still haven't seen the entire first season of the series on Netflix. However, I did enjoy the first book in the series and since I prefer reading over watching series in general I simply hope that at some point they will novelize the second season too so I can experience it that way. But, first there is this prequel and since I got this book yesterday and since today the second season premiered I thought it was the perfect morning read! What I thought : Honestly, I’ll start off with the Netflix show. I binged it the day I finished the book on my kindle. The book was obviously better. The show should have flowed better within itself. It seemed all chopped up and it could have been made better. Still liked it and the most dramatic part was the very end of the last episode. The book just flowed better. More detail, no surprise there. The book was made/written based on the show so I understand why it was dark. I understand why it all happened the way it did. I enjoyed the story and can’t wait until there’s more. I hope the next book comes out way before the next season (PLEASE). Wat wel enigszins positief is, is de schrijfstijl van Sarah Rees Bennan.
