Bjorn the Fell-Handed as a Mark V Venerable Dreadnought during the Battle of The Fang on Fenris in M32 from the Thousand Sons Traitor Legion. Space Marine Chaplains who are entombed in dreadnoughts and have achieved Venerable status are known as Chaplain Dreadnoughts. [Needs Citation] Notable Venerable Dreadnoughts Wulfen Dreadnought [7 PL, 125pts] . Great Wolf Claw and Blizzard Shield . . Blizzard Shield: Blizzard shield, Storm bolter . . Great Wolf Claw: Storm bolter

The sepulchre that contains a Chapter's Dreadnoughts is a holy shrine, and the Techmarines tend to their charges with great care, fastidiously applying sacred oils and unguents while chanting the Litanies of Preservation. To honour these courageous warriors, the fallen heroes are allowed to sleep away the Terran centuries, until need calls them to war once more. On his other arm Bjorn also bears a mighty ranged weapon: most often an Assault Cannon, which is to a Dreadnought like the standard bolter is to an Astartes. However, if the situation requires it, the Iron Priests will equip Bjorn with a Plasma Cannon, Helfrost Cannon , or Twin-linked Lascannons.Brought together under the banner of the Imperium, many patterns of Dreadnoughts existed and it was in latter-day conjunction with the superhuman physiology of the Space Marines that this technology had reached its zenith. By the 41st Millennium, the art of their construction has long since been lost, the arcane knowledge required passing into ritualised mythology, and each Chapter's Dreadnoughts are treasured relics. As the Wolf-King tore through the Khornate horde towards his quarry, he witnessed Bjorn's duel first-hand. Russ could only look on in pride as Bjorn deftly rolled beneath a blow attempting to cut him in half, then clambered up the Daemon's towering frame to tear out the Arch-slaughterer's throat with his trusty Wolf Claw. In the aftermath of the battle, Russ came to Bjorn in person and exonerated him in front of the entire Legion, holding his oath fulfilled. Much like all Dreadnoughts, Venerable Dreadnought close-combat weapons are usually outfitted with either built-in weaponry or weapons that are attached to the underside of the walker's chassis, which usually include either a Storm Bolter or a Heavy Flamer. Thank you guys very much! If anyone wants to post some full sprue pics they would be really appreciated!

More than ten thousand Terran years have passed since that age of legends, yet Bjorn remains a living link to the Chapter's distant past -- it is little wonder that his counsel is sought by many within the Space Wolves when they gird for war. Despite his extreme age, Bjorn is a steadfast warrior and lumbers into battle entombed within the sacred sarcophagus of his Dreadnought. No one knows what happened to Leman Russ. Some say he disappeared in the Eye of Terror whilst searching for his old friend and rival, the Dark Angels Primarch Lion El'Jonson. Others say that, to this day, he walks disguised among Mankind, watching over the people of his Emperor and guarding them from the powers of Chaos. All that is known for sure is that Leman Russ vanished in 211.M31, nearly two standard centuries after the Emperor was entombed upon the Golden Throne. At that time, all of the Space Wolves warriors and their Wolf Lords, including the Great Wolf himself, were gathered for a feast on Fenris. Doomglaive Dreadnought - The Doomglaive Dreadnought is one of the rarest and most advanced Dreadnought variants in Imperial service and is used exclusively by the Grey Knights Chapter, the secret Chapter of Space Marine psykers that serves as the Chamber Militant of the Inquisition's Ordo Malleus. The Doomglaive Dreadnought, like all Grey Knights Astartes, makes use of the Aegis, a complex network of protective prayers, runes and other wards which are inscribed into the chassis of an Doomglaive Dreadnought and psychically charged to provide better protection from the sorcerous powers of Daemons and the other servants of Chaos. While an Doomglaive Dreadnought is a fearsome opponent to face on the battlefield, the Doomglaive Dreadnought can provide more than just fire support to his Battle-Brothers, he is also able to support them with enhanced psychic defences. This is possible as a result of the psyber-circuitry that is incorporated into the Doomglaive Dreadnought's sarcophagus and which can link its own Aegis field to the psychic defences deployed by nearby Grey Knights Battle-Brothers, thus creating a series of reinforced psychic wards that is much stronger than what individual Grey Knights can project on their own.Bannus - Bannus was a high-ranking member of the Iron Hands Chapter. Having since become entombed in the armoured chassis of a Venerable Dreadnought, he has become a Clan Leader of Clan Kaargul and has a place on the Chapter's Clan Council. Venerable Dreadnoughts can take any of the long-range weapons used by other Dreadnoughts, such as an Assault Cannon, twin-linked Lascannons, a Storm Bolter, a Heavy Bolter, or an Autocannon, along with weapons such as a Plasma Cannon, a Heavy Flamer, an Inferno Cannon, a Flamestorm Cannon, a Multi-Melta, or a Missile Launchers. Daggan - Daggan was a Space Marine Venerable Dreadnought as well as the Chapter Master of the Blood Swords Chapter. Unlike most Dreadnoughts, Daggan still retained a good memory of what he was before his internment within his cybernetic coffin and served effectively as Chapter Master. He died on Baal while defending the sarcophagus of Sanguinius against Fabius Bile's mutants.
