Not only does that book tell a gorgeous, unique love story, but it’s also one of my all-time favorite 5-star standalones.

I’m a guy who finds his new roommate insanely attractive, but I’m also a guy who can’t stand to be around his bitchy new roommate. This novella is Warren and Bridgette’s story which takes place during the time period of Maybe Someday.

Still, there’s something about Hoover’s writing that is kind of un-put-down-able even when I hate it and I didn’t hate this one nearly as much as Maybe Someday so it gets a bonus star. There isn't much in terms of a hard plot, but it did focus on the building of a relationship between two people and I really enjoyed reading their journey. Alright, so I totally and complete HATED everything which was Maybe Someday - - - - - EXCEPT Warren.Colleen Hoover is my "drop everything right now to read" author and even if I didn't love Ugly Love, my faith in this author never wavers. I'm sorry if my review seems harsh, but this is a serious issue in our culture today that we are putting up with when we shouldn't be. My only complaint is that I wish COHO had made it a full length novel instead of such a short novella.
