It would have been even better if the book was more a step by step book instead of an illustrated book. I'm extremely grateful to Tim at brynmorgan press for reprinting/releasing this valuable french publication! A freelance journalist since 2007, she came in 3rd in the Equal Opportunities Commission's National Prize in the Province of Brescia in January 2008 for her article on "Female creativity at the dawn of the 3rd millennium". Moreover it has forever changed the way I understand and interpret illustrations and photographs of jewels. This and Techniques of Jewelry Illustration and Colour Rendering by Adolfo Mattiello are my favourites, but value for money this book is amazing.

In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).

She has collaborated with Giorgio Correggiari, Krizia and Gian Marco Venturi, but her most important and far-reaching experience was her work with Gianni Versace, where she played a crucial role in setting standards with regard to the presentation and illustration of the house's fashion and home collections. The relationships of volume, balance between full and empty, treatment of metal surfaces, warm and cool materials and the relationship between the support and the stone are explained in depth along with ways to illuminate jewellery, treatment of light and chiaroscuro play to add depth. His clients are international companies from small to large businesses, from high end jewellery to bijoux. A scholar of Italian Futurism, she was co-curator of the Centenary Futuristic Sculpture and Futurist Exhibition dedicated to the architect Quirino De Giorgio. Alessandra Possamai is a curator at the Jewellery Museum in Vicenza (Italy) and collaborates regularly with different Italian institutions in the organization of exhibitions on contemporary jewellery.

There are only a few books about jewelry rendering, and none of them reaches back to the basics with the depth or detail found here. This book was originally written in French and published in Quebec where the author teaches jewelry illustration. The school was founded by a jewellery designer Inesa Kovalova from a desire to share her passion for jewellery hand painting craft. The fundamentals of drawing different pieces, such as necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets, are carefully explained and illustrated in the book, which includes all the technical details to be taken into consideration when planning a jewelry piece, from the executive point of view.

Employee, and later exclusive partner of the Versace fashion house from 1981 to 2009, Manuela, was crucial in setting standards in the Style magazine for the presentation of all fashion collections and their illustrations and, in recent years, the Home Collection.

This is definately a pretty technical book and I did find it a little daunting in places, but I love it!
