Despite looking chunky, getting them on is easy; the lining is soft and supple and the waterproof gusset has plenty of give to let you slide your feet in easily. As you would expect from a boot of this nature they are very sturdy and it took a minute to mentally adjust to where my foot needed to be on gear shift. You get ankle inserts and a shin guard, though these are flimsy and they won’t be of much help if you drop your bike on your leg. Having spent an hour each way on my daily commute through torrential rain and flooded roads for the last few weeks, my feet were totally dry.

Underneath the boot the sole is double density, making it strong for off-road use in addition the nylon midsole is durable and longlasting. The personalised Forma Drytex tubular lining incorporates a waterproof and breathable membrane, ensuring comfort in various weather conditions. In comparison with my Adventure boots, the Terras have more toe, heel and ankle protection and a harder sole. Equipped with a vintage leather finish and Drytex waterproof/breathable lining, the Adventure Boots keep your feet dry without limiting range of motion. The EVOlutionary part of it is the new mechanical hinge design for the ankles which allows the boot to bend back to front for walking but gives you the stiffness and protection from sideways movement. The new Forma Adventure low combines the comfort and flexibility of a road boot with features of an off-road boot.

They have a nice high leg that gives good protection and are easy to adjust the fit with the adjustable buckles. I wanted to have the maximum protection I could get and I was totally convinced that MX boots would be perfect. There is plenty of room to wiggle toes and there are no tight spots nor bits that stick into the feet. You will notice a difference if you are coming from a sports or touring boot as the toe section is a different shape. So whether you're riding around the world, or around the city, with Forma boots you will always be prepared for an adventure! And sure, because they are more rigid they are not as comfortable to walk in as the Adventure boots, but still not as stiff as MX boots would be.

I was not a fan of the silver plastic finish though a quick once over with some black boot polish fixed that cosmetic difficulty. The Forma Adventure Dry Boots are crafted with a full-grain oil treated leather upper, providing both durability and a classic look.Surprisingly stiff sole that was comfortable standing on pegs, but a bit awkward without the rubber inserts in place.

Plus, because you can’t walk naturally in a plastic boot, that puts pressure back on your knees and over time you end up with bad knees. I love this style of boot for road riding with an old school look, might look a bit silly with race leathers though.I quickly got used to the “stiffness” and to be honest I rode and walked in them from morning to evening and they were just fine in terms of comfort. The boots have TPU shin and ankle protection to ensure they keep you supported at this vulnerable area. Also, the Evo sole is more flexible but yet strong enough to feel comfortable while standing up off road. Their enthusiasm concerning the product range, with the potential to offer only the best product together with the excellent assistance through sponsorship investments in sports championships has made the brand more recognizable throughout the world.
