So, what's different about this next book on the secret homelife of this talented duo? Well, for a start, another 13 storeys have been added to their treehouse! Like its predecessor, The 13-Storey Treehouse, this 26-storey version is a riot of kookyness and fun that is very typically the result of a Griffiths/Denton mirthful intermingling. Andy wakes up one morning, and on his way to getting breakfast, he meets Terry, painting a white cat yellow to turn it into a canary, or a "catnary". After being dropped from the treehouse, the cat grows wings and flies away. Andy and Terry are then greeted by their animal-loving friend Jill, who wants to find her pet cat, Silky. It turns out that the cat Terry painted was that exact cat. Andy and Terry try to remain innocent when Jill questions them. Right after Jill leaves, Andy and Terry receive a call via a 3D video phone by their publisher, Mr Big Nose, who is upset that the duo is behind schedule.

Once again, Andy and Terry have created a masterful, timeless book that both engages children deep into a good read, makes them laugh, and opens up their brains and crams magic inside. Iconic, memorable and heartwarming, this is yet another winner for kids (and big kids) everywhere.

When Andy and Terry began to write their book, a giant gorilla started shaking the tree yelling, “BANANA!” Then a chauffer arrives, informing Terry has won the Barky the Barking Dog drawing competition and gets to meet Barky. But squished by the giant gorilla. As the duo loses hope. 13 flying cats, lead by Silky, began fighting the gorilla. Which was successful. The canaries then lift the gorilla away. But my absolute favourite would have to be the anti-gravity chamber - although Andy himself recommends you don't go floating directly after gobbling 78 different kinds of ice cream. urn:lcp:26storeytreehous0000grif_g7k2:epub:e217735f-e766-440b-aa05-3b9c896f34b2 Foldoutcount 0 Identifier 26storeytreehous0000grif_g7k2 Identifier-ark ark:/13960/t8rc7170t Invoice 1652 Isbn 9781742611273 A bumper car rink, a skate ramp (with a crocodile-pit hazard), a mud-fighting arena, an anti-gravity chamber, an ice-skating pond (with real, live, ice-skating penguins), a recording studio, a mechanical bull named Kevin, an ATM (that’s an automatic tattoo machine, in case you didn’t know), an ice cream shop with 78 flavors served by an ice cream-serving robot called Edward Scooperhands, and the maze of doom - a maze so complicated that nobody who has ever gone in has ever come out” - these are some things you will encounter if you read the book The 26-Story Treehouse by Andy Griffiths, illustrated by Terry Denton.

PDF / EPUB File Name: The_26-Storey_Treehouse_-_Andy_Griffiths.pdf, The_26-Storey_Treehouse_-_Andy_Griffiths.epub Andy and Terry live in a 26-storey treehouse. (It used to be 13 stories, but they've expanded.) It has a bumper car rink, a skate ramp, an antigravity chamber, an ice cream parlor with 78 flavors, and the Maze of Doom—a maze so complicated that nobody who has gone in has ever come out again. Well, not yet, anyway. This time, the two friends have a whole week to finish their next book, and Andy even knows what it should be about: the story of how he and Terry first met. But life is NEVER boring in the treehouse, and emergency shark operations, giant storms, and wooden pirate heads are just the beginning . . . In this sequel to the highly popular 13 Storey Treehouse, we find that there have been a few modifications to the already outlandish structure. There’s ordinary additions like a skate ramp and a dodgem car arena, but there are also added extras like the maze of doom and an ice-cream serving robot. At the start of the second paragraph, Mr Big Nose will call Andy and Terry to tell them the deadline of their next book as pointed out in The 39-storey Treehouse. This time, the two friends have a whole week to finish their next book, and Andy even knows what it should be about—the story of how he and Terry first met. But, life is NEVER boring in the treehouse, and emergency shark operations, giant storms, and wooden pirate heads are just the beginning…. There's a mudfighting arena, the Maze of Doom and even an ice cream parlour with 78 different flavours (I must admit, I was expecting more) served by a specialed robot created by Edward Scooperhands. Griffiths, Andy; Denton, Terry (illustrator) (2013). The 13-story treehouse. Feiwel and Friends. ISBN 9781250026903. LCCN 2013404222. Brilliant series and if you haven't read them yet why not? Start at the beginning and work through them all. Laugh out loud funny and I love reading about all the things they have in their treehouse., Toppsta Reviewer

Full of crazy, funny pictures, which will make you laugh . . . Extremely enjoyable, very funny and easy to read! -- SophieStarlight, Guardian.com Illustrator: Terry Denton - Australian author and illustrator has a very popular partnership with Griffiths, but has illustrated books for others including Paul Jennings, Mem Fox and Gillian Rubinstein. Apparently this is the second book about the Treehouse - " The 13-Storey Treehouse" was published in 2011. We didn't feel any loss having read "26 Storey Treehouse" first).Author: Andy Griffiths - Australian author of over 20 books concentrating on nonsense with a lot of child appeal. Goods that by reason of their nature, cannot be returned - (Items such as underwear, where the 'hygiene patch' has been removed, or cosmetics where the seal has been broken). The book begins with the narrator and fictional depiction of the author, Andy Griffiths, giving an introduction to himself, his friend and illustrator Terry Denton, and their treehouse. Later, the duo began to work on their book, but Terry was too sad to concentrate. Andy then gets Terry popcorn and lemonade to cheer him up. Terry additionally got himself bubblegum. He burps a bubble which he had trap himself. Terry floats away and Andy does a golf swing which successfully saved him. Especially good for reluctant readers as it is heavily illustrated and VERY funny . . . This really is the coolest treehouse ever!, Angels & Urchins
