About this deal

This review contains minor spoilers, nothing unpredictable or what you haven’t already seen on booktok. But I’m still warning you. tuve que sentarme y leer DOS veces (hasta donde lei yo, estoy segura de que hay dos o tres mas) como el protagonista violaba a la protagonista mientras ella estaba tan cagada de miedo hasta el punto de hacerse pis encima, sin hablar que la mina es la protagonista principal mas ESTUPIDA que lei en m vida, y eso que he leído libros con minas pelotudas... pero esta... se lleva el premio a la mas idiota de todas DNF at 55% {EDIT *SpongeBob 12 hours later*- I decided to skim the rest so I could write a proper review (it’s amazing how fast you can read when you skip over a bunch of stuff😍), specifically for Gigi's murder investigation and the “big cliffhanger”. I googled spoilers too. Now I’m truly FREE and I can move on🙏. Btw, I saw someone comment on ig today “Zade is the standard” and I want to CRY😭}.

Adeline and Zade's story - it's not sweet, heroe's stalking is something that gives stalker's romance a total new dimension. It is brutal and raw.... Zade is not worth messing with, because he's the type of hero who will come for what he thinks is his anyway. Adeliene is a completely different heroine than I expected.... A successful woman who stands firmly on the ground, who knows how to pursue her goals. Zade didn't have easy way with Addie, which, combined with mysteries and thrilling events, made this series an explosive combination. So, on top of complaining about the quality of the smut, I'm also here to complain about the quantity. So again, this book has no romantic aspect, thin plot and bad characters, so people read it for the smut. Yet, I had to wait until around 40% to read the first sex scene!!! BOOOOOO 🍅🍅🍅. And when we finally get to the smut, this is what we get: Haunting Adeline is fast-paced despite the length of the book/audiobook. The last quarter of the book had me on the edge of my seat. There are two plot twists here that are ended on a cliffhanger.

Customer reviews

The first book of this series was a dark romance. This book, the second, was just dark. Very little romance to speak of. The book has 2 parts and the whole first part the main characters are separated and a lot of time passes by. I am so heartbroken over how this book turned out. Not the storyline because I DNF'd at 70% but because of how high my expectations were.

APARTE NON-CON LITERALMENTE SIGNFICA VIOLACION, GOOGLEENLO PEDAZOS DE IMBECILES SIN NEURONASAdeline has changed, obviously. I cried for her. She suffers from ptsd almost the entire book and her healing takes the most focus in the second half of the book and for a long time period too. Which I liked. It would’ve been weird and unrealistic to see her being all happy after like a month and willing to bang her bf.

I truly don't know how to put into words how much I LOVE this book and sincerely this entire duet. This is a masterpiece and I have been putting off writing this review because this one is hard for me to write. Hunting Adeline" masterfully concludes the thrilling Cat and Mouse Duet, immersing readers in a shadowy realm populated by enigmatic figures and foreboding creatures. At the heart of this tale lies the tense survival duel between the Hunter and the Diamond. Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to reading the sequel. This one did cure my reading slump. The reason I give it four stars instead of five is cause of the gun play scene, which was a bit much😅 The premise of Haunting Adeline is intriguing. I got hooked on the story before I even finished the first chapter. The FMC, Adeline lives in an old Gothic mansion that she inherited from her grandmother, whom she was close to. This Gothic mansion is a character in itself, creepy and haunted. It is also alluded to in the book that her great-grandmother may be haunting the estate since she was murdered in this mansion. Adeline discovers a bunch of diaries written by her great-grandmother who was also stalked! There is a mystery here and Adeline and her friend Daia are investigating her death.Once again, no one does it like Harley Laroux. I can't wait for her to release the third book of the trilogy aaa!! This duet deserves to be read consecutively, otherwise, you would just be pissed off because of Z’s actions. The second book does a very good job of redeeming Z because he really is a legitimate antihero and someone that actually r*ped the FMC.

The interactions between the cat and mouse are the core of the cat and mouse duet. Their relationship is marked by a delicate balance of power dynamics. While the cat seeks to catch and devour the mouse, the mouse consistently outwits the cat, leading to a comedic and thrilling chase. These interactions create a unique chemistry between the characters, as the cat continually devises new strategies to catch the elusive mouse, only to be met with clever evasion. Notable Cat and Mouse Duos

Over the years, various cat and mouse duos have captivated audiences around the world. Among the most celebrated pairs are Tom and Jerry, Itchy and Scratchy, and Sylvester and Tweety. Each duo brings its own unique charm and comedic style to the cat and mouse narrative, adding depth and diversity to the genre. These iconic pairs have become ingrained in popular culture, leaving a lasting impact on generations of viewers. Beyond the entertainment value, the cat and mouse duet often carries deeper moral lessons and symbolism. The chase can represent the eternal struggle between good and evil, highlighting the triumph of the underdog against adversity. It teaches lessons of resilience, resourcefulness, and the power of intelligence over brute force. The constant pursuit and evasion remind us of the importance of perseverance and adaptability in the face of challenges. Influence on Popular Culture I face him, eyeing him closely. He’s relaxed into his seat, his long legs spread, one hand draped over the wheel and the other resting on the armrest between us. Really?? A wizard of oz reference?? What even is this, it doesn't take a genius to understand that writing like this is not adequate for a book that is meant to have a dark tone to it. It ruins the atmosphere and necessary formality that is vital to the reader taking this book seriously. There’s a point where the heroine goes to a club and meets this guy, Archie. While she’s at the club, Zade messages her
