English wine producer Chapel Down has announced the release of a limited-edition English sparkling wine to commemorate the coronation with all profits being donated to the Royal British Legion. Distilled at The City of London Distillery, the first and only gin distillery in the heart of London for more than 200 years, Whitley Neill Connoisseur’s Cut Gin is a classic London Dry expression that sits at 47% ABV, letting the rich juniper and citrus notes shine through. We wanted to mark the occasion with the launch of Devon Red Cider, which is created from British apples grown and pressed in Devon, using traditional methods, at the oldest working cider mill in the UK. Many craft gins seek to differentiate themselves, then, with a focus on some kind of terroir—gins that seek to capture a specific location or show off that area’s native botanicals.
