About this deal

As I mentioned in my Pixi palette review, I have been using the same eye-primer routine when using this palette. Benefit’s Lemon aid followed by Urban Decay’s Primer Potion set with a powder matching my skintone. Using this routine I find that the shadows wear for around 6-7 hours before fading. I do notice that the shimmers are the first to go with the matte shades hanging in a little while longer before wearing away. I find this comparable to most of my other high-end palettes, so I’m pleased with the wear time. A fair note of what I've observed over the last few years: These Tarte Tartelette Eyeshadow Palettes seem to go on sale at least one a year, if not more.

smokeshow Ingredients: Talc, mica, zinc stearate, silica, boron nitride, ethylhexyl palmitate, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, carmine (CI 75470), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), ultramarines (CI 77007). This really is a beautiful palette, the shadows are high quality and certainly don’t disappoint. I think the shade range is fantastic and really thought out. It offers great variety and flexibility but still comfortably sits in that warm toned family. Despite it being so warm toned, it’s really wearable and surprising versatile. Its a palette I have been reaching for non-stop and such a beautiful addition to my collection. jetsetter Ingredients: Talc, mica, zinc stearate, boron nitride, ethylhexyl palmitate, silica, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, carmine (CI 75470), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), manganese violet (CI 77742), titanium dioxide (CI 77891). I was so happy to see a Tartelette with more pink and rosy shades and like the other Tartelette eyeshadow palettes, the shades in Tartelette Juicy are coordinated so all the shades in each row can be used to create a stunning eye look. Tarte Tartelette Eyeshadow Palettes Verdict I already own the original Tartelette Palette {all matte neutral shadows; review here} and the Tartelette in Bloom* {mix of shimmer and matte including some duplicates of the original Tartelette; neutral/cool toned}. As far as I can see, Toasted has 12 new shadow shades. This is a must for me in terms of purchasing a permanent palette these days. Like In Bloom, it has a mix of matte and shimmers. I love that they balanced a mix of light and dark shadows in both formulas. After putting this palette to the test for a while now, I wanted to share with you a full run-down review and if I think its worth the spend. The Tarte Toasted palette definitely has some similarities to the Urban Decay Heat palette. I don’t own the Heat palette, so I can’t compare them in terms of quality. However, I do own two other naked palettes and rate them very highly in my collection. The deciding factor for me was I wanted to try a palette from Tarte, as I was less familiar with their products. Even though the Heat palette makes me drool when I look at swatches, I felt the Toasted had a more wearable range of shades for my taste. That being said I’m not ruling out getting the Heat palette in the future. Both palette have 12 shadows and the price point is very similar. As is the amount of eye shadows in each pan, so there isn’t much between them. It really comes down to personal preference. I lean towards the most Tartelette in Bloom the most but Tartelette Juicy is definitely making its way up there with the rosy color palette! Candle is the weakest shade for me, it’s very crumbly and has a lot of fall-out. It’s a beautiful shade but dipping your brush is creates a snow storm of powder. I still love it as an inner corner highlight shade but you have to be careful when using it as to not make a mess. Pigmentation answered already. And can say I enjoy all four for different reasons. Below are swatches of each the Tarte Tartelette, Tartelette in Bloom, Tartelette Toasted, and Tartelette Juicy. Which one(s) do I prefer the most? I've used all four Tarte Tartelette Eyeshadow palettes and want to share a look of each of them in this post. flower child Ingredients: Talc, mica, silica, zinc stearate, boron nitride, ethylhexyl palmitate, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, carmine (CI 75470), titanium dioxide (CI 77891), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), ultramarines (CI 77007), manganese violet (CI 77742). rebel Ingredients: Talc, silica, boron nitride, zinc stearate, ethylhexyl palmitate, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, carmine (CI 75470), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), manganese violet (CI 77742), ultramarines (CI 77007).activist Ingredients: Talc, silica, boron nitride, zinc stearate, ethylhexyl palmitate, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, carmine (CI 75470), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), manganese violet (CI 77742), ultramarines (CI 77007). The latest addition in the Tartelette family is Tartelette Juicy! This 12 pan eyeshadow palette features a rosy color palette with gorgeous bronzes and neutrals. I have a full look of this eyeshadow palette here! If you're looking for a quality and in my opinion, one of the BEST eyeshadow palettes to add to your collection or if you're a beginner to make up. One (or all - you can't have too much makeup!) of these will be perfect splurge on! The Tarte Tartelette Toasted palette came out at the tail end of last year and captured my attention right away. As a self-proclaimed warm toned eyeshadow lover, I knew I wanted this palette for myself. After kindly receiving this palette as a Christmas present and have been putting it to the test ever since. I think where Toasted really stands on its own as a warm-toned eyeshadow palette, is how balanced it is in terms of light to dark transition. There really aren’t any redundant shades here; You’ve got coppery tones, golden hues and champagnes.
