About this deal

The adapter works with both EF and EF-S lenses and converts them to L-Mount mirrorless cameras. It features an all-metal design with chrome-plated brass mounts and features a built-in Micro USB for updating the firmware of the adapter. Thanks for your prompt response! Unfortunately, since I live in a small city where finding a great camera store is difficult then I could not go to one. But I have done some researches on many YouTube videos that led me to this consideration to jump on Fuji system. Mostly, it is because I want to shoot on higher frame rate settings (> 60fps), my Sony camera will only allow to shoot it at 1080p and the quality is abysmal. There are some caveats indeed I found when comparing Fuji APS-C with Sony, those are the autofocus, overheating issue, and the 4k quality compared to Sony (Fuji's 4k is great but Sony is better because it is oversampled from 6k. A shame that it only records at 30fps max). But since when I shoot the video I do not really record a really long footage like 30 mins and above, I found the Fuji XT-3 or 4 really suits my needs. Plus it can record 4k @ 60fps Some history: The only reason that mount adapters are practical at all for any format is because mirrorless cameras are shallower than SLRs. SLR cameras had to make room for the mirror between the lens and the sensor/film. You don't have a mirror with mirrorless cameras (obviously), so you can fill that difference in space with an empty mount adapter (basically just a spacer ring) and adapt the mounting bayonet at the same time. That makes it relatively easy to convert SLR lenses to newer mounts. This adapter makes it possible to mount a Contax or Yashica C/Y lens to Sony E-Mount cameras with a precision mechanical adapter. The adapter does not transfer functions from the camera to the lens, such as auto focus, but automatic exposure metering (stop-down metering/aperture priority) is possible.

Kipon, or a dealer, may be willing to let you trade in the L-mount for an X-mount if you ask. (Or an M-mount which could be used on both systems with an adaptor.) The Urth and Fotasy are just an extension tube to fit mirrorless. If I didn't know better I'd swear they were made by the same company. The Urth comes in a nice box and they plant trees when you buy one. The Fotsy comes in a cardboard box. This adapter allows you to mount Hasselblad V lenses to Sony E-mount bodies, including full frame a7/A7R/A7S. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance. However, I am wondering how will E-mount lenses perform on Fuji X system? I do understand the vignetting issues if you use the E-mount APS-C on FE-mount of Sony full-frame camera, plus sharpness decrease. What issues would I have if I use it on APS-C, but the camera is Fuji instead? Sony’s LA-EA4 lens adapter adds full-time continuous Phase Detection AF using Sony Translucent Mirror Technology making this adapter well-suited for shooting fast moving action or when shooting with Maxxum screw-drive lenses. According to DxO, the light loss from the translucent mirror is 1/3 stop.

Fotodiox notes continuous AF and video AF aren't currently supported due to 'unsatisfactory' performance, but other autofocus modes should work with minimal issues. It's also pointed out that some third party lenses, such as those from Sigma and Tamron might struggle with autofocus a bit more than first-party lenses. Vello’s Nikon AF Adapter is another re-badged Commlite adapter. North American users may prefer for it’s USA warranty and support. AF works best with Sony PDAF cameras and E-type and G-type Nikon AF lenses – but not with many of the earlier D-type lenses. This lens has been discontinued but it may show up on the used market. Nikon AF lenses are more of a challenge to adapt than Canon, the most promising Nikon Auto Focus Smart Adapter is from MonsterAdapter: Appreciate your answer! I see, this is the first time I heard a company offers you to switch from one mounting system to another.

Looked into CNC shops and they do exist but I wouldn't begin to know how to go about specifying what I need -
