Finally, Nvidia has of course included the 12-pin power connector. It does mean that you’re probably going to have to use an adapter to power the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, but of course, Nvidia has included an adapter in the box. However, the gains you get compared to the base RTX 3080, which is a lot more affordable, make it a hard sell for gamers who don’t need the best performance possible in 4K. Gamers yet to do the jump to 4K will also be better off saving their cash and opting for a cheaper card, such as the 1440p-focused RTX 3070, or 1080p-focused RTX 3060 Ti, which are both very accomplished cGPUs in their own right. In this review, we test the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC. The card is tweaked a small notch and has been designed with a custom PCB and that traditional WindForce cooler. Gigabyte as well offers a dual BIOS mode for silent and performance cooling, yet with the very same performance.

That’s a 17% increase in core count, but don’t expect a strict 17% performance increase - more on that later. Here, the RTX 3080 Ti managed to run the game with zero hassle, at post 60fps with the graphics settings maxed. However, the performance gains on the regular RTX 3080 weren’t quite as high as I’d have liked considering the disparity in price. Measured in frames-per-second Beyond that, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is actually quite a bit beefier than the original RTX 3080, and that largely falls to core count and memory bandwidth.
