With its unique blend of dark fantasy and romance, this book promises to keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. A Gripping Plot

I made it a little over half way. Which is longer than most of the books I have been reading lately. So, I think that I gave it a fair chance before giving up on this horrible...idea. Jenna Gray has a way of bringing her characters to life. I was emotionally invested in their journey and couldn’t wait to see what happened next. Highly recommended!”– Mark, fantasy enthusiast I am giving this book a rating of 5 because I simply enjoyed reading it. I can't put it any other way. The Two Kings is the second book in the Afterlife Saga which to my understanding, will consist of 7 books. In The Two Kings, Kiera, the heroine, is with Dominic "Draven" who is half Demon, Half Angel. Keira struggles as she continues to have dreams that consume her and is hunted by a powerful being, Lucius, who wants to take her away from Draven. HA! Okay, so you get the picture, book two in the Afterlife saga has finally been released and Keira and Dominic Draven are now a very unconventional human vs. Demon/Angel demi-god couple. Unconventional being the height of emphasis here, because we learn something pretty special in book two – Dominic isn’t just the leader of the Supernatural world that reside within our realm as they walk and exist among us – he is their King. His word is law. His mission: to maintain a balance of Light and Darkness. Good vs. Evil. However, the scales have recently tipped, due to some extra added weight that came in the form of Kiera, the human girl who recently bounded into his life and set it spinning, even at times, out of his own monumental control. ‘His Electa’ – The ‘Chosen One’.So the book starts out new girl in a new town, becoming friends with the locals, and then her first glimpse of the mysterious Dravens, catching the eye of the Dravens, and getting an invite up to the VIP area of the club they own and where they dwell night after night but for a limited time only. This happens much to the disbelief of the locals because “gasp” no one has ever managed to break into the inner circle before. Sound familiar? It reminded me of Twilight which is not a favorite of mine. It even has a similar first sighting when they all walk in to the club together but instead of gossipy teenagers pretending not to pay attention, it was tipsy college kids straining to have a look at them or to be noticed by them. They even have their own table in the cafeteria, oops I mean club. After the initial twilight similarities died it did seem to take its own different turn and I do try to make it past the introductory chapters before I give up on a book. I try to give it a fair shot. This book gets steamy as she finds Draven. Is it Kiera or Katie, or are they one and the same? We don't have many answers yet, and it is still like Deja Vu. Okay, so some of this is starting to make more sense now. However, it is just intriguing the memory loss, but I'm sure it will get explained. In all I really enjoyed this book and so far the whole series and I think everyone should give it a try! And last but not least we have the latest in the Afterlife world and that’s called The HellBeast King. There are currently 3 books in this series and the 4th is said to be on its way by the end of this year.

Afterlife: Dark Fantasy Romance” is the first book in the Afterlife Saga, written by Jenna Gray. This captivating dark fantasy novel explores forbidden love, supernatural creatures, and thrilling adventures. With its engrossing plot, rich character development, and immersive world-building, it promises a mesmerizing reading experience. Final Recommendation She is supposed to be a young woman, but from her conversation you get the feeling that she is twelve. This happened because the author aimed for naivety, but overshot, and got stupidity. Small example. - She meets some girls at college, escorted by the most popular guy around, that is giving her his undivided attention, and the girls are giving her an evil eye. She says that she doesn't understand why. The author wanted to portray that her character is above the usual social and gender grouping, and the conflicts that come with them, as an individual that is so blissfully selfless and unaware of her physical appearance. Then a few chapter's later, she describes Cassie as being hormonaly overcharged, as she ridicules her 'slutty' behavior. So, she understands, but is just playing stupid. All for our benefit? Gee, thanks...you shouldn't have....Afterlife Saga is 12 books in total, which includes the books that are in two parts plus the many spin-off books that follow, as some stories are just too big for one book. At the moment I am finishing Lucius's story in the Transfusion Saga and all 12 books will be released very soon. After that will be the conclusion of Vincent's story, Imp and the Beast, Books 1 & 2 and the other Afterlife King Spin-off series. There is also the Afterlife Academy aimed at a younger audience but still an important part of the whole Afterlife World. Don't make the same mistake I did. I assumed that b/c of the incredibly high rating from a decent number of readers that eventually it was going to get better. This installment in the Afterlife Saga has made me an addict and my addiction is this series! The first book I was iffy about because it took so long for me to really get into it but this one has me sold. It was so much better than the first installment and has definitely kept me on the edge of my seat THE WHOLE TIME. Also, in the first book I found the length of the novel dragging, but in this one I loved it and could've used more.
