About this deal

Well, come on then, Max,” Gideon said to the dog, who was coincidentally also his roommate. Max sniffed the air and whined in opposition as they headed west, but they both understood that dreams were Gideon’s domain, and therefore their path was ultimately Gideon’s decision. The Alexandrian Society, caretakers of lost knowledge from the greatest civilizations of antiquity, are the foremost secret society of magical academicians in the world. Those who earn a place among the Alexandrians will secure a life of wealth, power, and prestige beyond their wildest dreams, and each decade, only the six most uniquely talented magicians are selected to be considered for initiation. by far the biggest failure of the atlas paradox is the writing style. it feels like blake has not found herself as a writer and this is painfully obvious here. this is more a collection of quotes that are trying extra hard to be cool and fail than a solid work of fiction. in fact, it's infuriating how little the writing style matches the style of the novel or personality of the characters with lines such as “I hate you (affectionate).” what in the tiktokification of literature is this.

I couldn't really stand any of the other characters. But still, I hated Reina. She was so annoying. She acted like a petulant child and was angry all the time. She spent this entire book shouting at everyone and talking to plants. She also has a god complex now. Yeah, she is more obnoxious than ever. I think that disconnecting from Parisa’s perspective helped a lot. Like, I literally shut down and read like a robot when it was her perspective until she did something so annoying I slammed the book shut and hyperventilated angrily. Anyways, while I dislike her very much, I have come to at least tolerate her chapters most of the time. Although honestly, Callum is just the better, more interesting Parisa so I don’t know what her purpose is. Alles Begriffe die uns in Band 2 dieser absolut, genialen und intelligenten Geschichte begegnen werden. Man muss es mögen. Sich dafür interessieren. You choose,” he managed, and Nico waved a hand, rearranging furniture so effortlessly that in the span of a breath, Gideon had already forgotten what the room looked like to begin with. Reina really blooms in this book as she discovers more of her powers, as does Tristan. I loved reading these two loners become more powerful, especially with how it seemed to unnerve other characters. However, while Tristan thrives and begins to relinquish his insecurities, Reina struggles with inner doubt. Once again, this development caught me off guard, and it made for some interesting interactions to read.

What’s ‘shut up’ in Spanish?” a former version of Gideon had asked in real life, and Nico had given him a smile that Gideon would later learn was exceptionally dangerous.

Nico’s grin broadened. “Well, excellent,” he said. “I’ve been wanting to expand linguistically. I think too much in English now, I need something else. Never trust a dichotomy, I always say. Though on a relevant note, do you want top or bottom?” he asked, and Gideon blinked. ATLAS PARADOX bietet uns trotz teilweise schwacher Handlung ein komplexes und außergewöhnliches Lesevergnügen mit Sogwirkung und Suchtgefahr. One qualm I had with the writing was how the passage of time was described. It could be confusing understanding when some events took place in conjunction with others. When you have a cast of characters as big as this, it makes sense that they’ll all be doing their own thing, and sometimes it would take a moment to wrap my head around what happened when.
