Danielle spent a little too much time outlining skincare techniques and how to care for our skin instead of focusing on the more spiritual aspects of Face Yoga. I also felt the book needed more pictures of the exercises because at times I didn’t understand how to perform the exercises from her written instructions. What I will also say, is that whenever you are doing any type of acupressure on the body, you stimulate a detoxification process, and if you are doing this on your face, you can actually cause more break outs. As someone who has used jade facial rollers in the past, let me tell you, you can get some nasty breakouts and in some cases, make your skin look worse. Use your fingers to form “binocular” shape around your eyebrows, cheeks and across the face. Lift your eyebrows without wrinkling the forehead too much, then squint and then lift them again. Aim to repeat about 50 times. 2.
