Cathy Glass books are a slightly guilty pleasure of mine. The way that Cathy portrays herself as taking 'damaged' children and 'fixing' them after they have suffered somehow reassures me that even the most evil situations can be somewhat remedied. Although I recognise that the suffering of the children can, tragically, never be properly healed. Hi Cathy Glass, I first stumbled upon your books when I made them at cpi books, I immediately started reading and it reached my heart. Fostering has always been something I’ve been interested in doing. But as a child who has been abused myself I decided best not to. But I have continued to follow your books always getting the latest one and reading them. They give me hope that one day I’ll be strong enough to foster. You are phenomenal and I can tell the heart and soul you have for fostering. You clearly change the lives of so many children. Thank you, I love to read your books. Sometimes very emotional and live. Lara seems to love her son and Cathy can see that but still having to follow the guidelines of never leaving the two together unsupervised. Aimee reminds Cathy of Jodie (you’ll know her story if you have read Damaged), and it brings Cathy to tears. Seeing how grateful Aimee is to have a bed to snuggle into tugs at your heartstrings, especially because you know she came from a place that was not considered habitable for human beings, let alone a little girl.
