Grab your walking boots and head to the idyllic Jubilee Park which is home to an award-winning summer house and a host of rare trees and plants, your inner horticulturalist will be impressed. We loved watching the changing reflections in the water at the end of the lovely garden and the comings and goings of the various water birds. Parking arrangements were excellent. The cottage was extremely well-equipped with every facility one could hope for. It should be noted that the spiral stairs are quite steep and there is no upstairs bathroom so toilet visits in the night need to be done with care. Lynn, Anne, and Anne's Husband (apologies for forgetting your name) were lovely and very helpful. Lynn really looked after us while we were there and I can't thank her enough for making us feel so welcome. Well equipped and well maintained property. However, limited kitchen storage for any groceries you may take. It would have been useful to have a list of local supermarkets e.g. there is a local shopping centre called Broadway which we happened upon. Easy to access the ferry to cross to the Hoe, Barbican and Plymouth city. This is the first cottage we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot) where they do not offer recycling and was advised to dispose of this ourselves. Also advised that we may be charged for more than one bag of rubbish!
Quirky layout but worked great for a family of 6 and a family of 3. Already getting dates together for a stay next year. Everything you needed was available at the cottage and in a great location to get to the dales and the lakes for day trips. Great pub down the road. Would 100% recommend Clove CottageSo pleased you had a lovely stay at Clover. My husband is 6ft 2" and finds the ceilings remarkably high given the age of the property, he only has to mind his head when he goes through some of the doors, which at that height he is very used to anyhow. Other than that we love the features, cosiness and charm that Clover Cottage, being Grade II listed, has to offer. Property Owner All the little touches and plants formed part of the updating of the cottage ,and it all comes down to personal taste. If you had mentioned this at the time, we would have gladly removed any objects that you felt got in your way. Shower room: With double walk-in shower, toilet and heated towel rail.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. External outbuilding with washing machine and table tennis table.. Enclosed lawned rear garden with terrace, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it without hesitation. We had two young dogs with us who made full use of the small private rear garden. We are not walkers but found plenty of places within driving distance to visit. Good pubs with good fresh, home cooked food
