PROJECTION: 4/10. Decent, about 3 feet from the wearer, this is mainly a evening/night time fragrance so it doesn't need to be too loud. I'm not the greatest fan of blue fragrances, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how good Rochas L'Homme smells in reality.

Super strong stuff! Projection is great in the first 2h and the longevity is 12+ hours, easily. It's a compliment getter too, which is a bonus. The caviar here is the modern molecule that sometimes appears to turn me off a bit. It would be a 5/5 for me if it wasn't that molecule. But it's not super strong and irritating like in many other new fragrances nowadays, specially beacuse of the strong classical base. Compared to YSL Tuxedo, they’re pretty much the same. I don’t have a super sensitive nose like some people do, but to me, when compared side by side, you can tell YSL Tuxedo is made with higher quality ingredients. Almost like baking a cake with high quality, name brand ingredients vs generic, store brand ingredients. One is just going to be better, even if made in the exact same conditions by the exact same chef. For the price, Moustache is the winner, but if money is not an object, YSL Tuxedo is better. OCCASION - cooler weather, best for fall but can be worn in the winter too. Cozy and warm scent perfect for date night and close encounters, but can work as a cool weather going out scent as well. As far as sprays go - i go 4 to 8 sprays, depending on where and what I'm going to do. For a date night/close encounter 4 is perfect, but if you are going out for drinks with friends I found that 7-8 sprays will get you solid performance and people will be able to notice you cause of the sillage. Love this juice. Can see myself wearing it all throughout Autumn and the first 1/3 of Winter before it gets too cold. With Rochas man it’s the fragrance that will start you on gourmands before you go on to the big shots like Thierry muglers and the niche market. Yes, it has ambroxane and it possesses this Axe tedious cleanliness, but fortunately, it has some unexpected aspects. I must confess that Master Jovanovic did a remarkable job. In my opinion, this the way to sneak in a classical aspect in the contemporary creation. Rochas L’Homme opens with strong and fizzy synthetic orange note accompanied by a cheesy pineapple, cardamom, and a hefty dose of trendy ambroxane. The opening is not promising, but fortunately, the best is yet to come. Soon some classic almost fougere-ish aspects are introduced. Juniper is responsible for a delicate G&T vibe, while geranium gives this quintessential French structure. The base is somehow synthetically fleeting with again trendy Tonka bean and just a touch of clean patchouli. This Tonka is very interesting by giving me sometimes an amaretto cookie vibe. Interesting touch. Speaking of presentation, I don't get the associations with adult toys. The bottle looks very interesting, like a lava lamp and I like it a lot.

Particularly, the more times I wore this scent, the more it grew in my concept. There is a balance between green, fruity, aromatic, and oriental facets so that we do not feel an exaggeration of ambroxan, nor a soapy overload, which was the target of criticism in the competition. In addition, it is very versatile and has great performance (but requires attention on very hot days). I honestly don't get any moss at all, and the drydown to my nose is mostly a nice combination of sweet tonka and ambroxan, though I get also some smokiness, almost incense-like (not sure which note does that) that adds some oriental side this scent. Never cloying, always pleasant in this case, so bravo Bruno Jovanovic for putting together something interesting and wearable, and not jumping on the toxic choke-you-with-an-ambroxan-chemtrail bandwagon.

Opening: get almost no citrus. Medium spice, Cedar absolutely punches me in the face.
