About this deal

I’ve also noticed that you’ll need to strim the edges after. It won’t quite go right up but of course, that’s what a strimmer is designed for! Flymo Mighti-Mo 300 Li Cordless Battery Lawn Mower Review Makita PLM4622 46cm 4 Stroke Petrol Lawn Mower 190cc. The Makita PLM4622 is a 4-Stroke, 190cc Petrol Lawn Mower with a cutting height of 20-75mm and a 60 litre collection box for a lawn surface up to approx. 1,800m. Self propelled Lawnmower designed for cutting lawn surface up to 1,800m, The blades are easy enough to adjust and had cutting heights from 25-65mm which is more than adequate. The handle folds away and stores neatly. The cordless lawn mower itself is lightweight at 9.9kg and very easy to use. A nice little feature is the safety key, which if removed will totally immobilise the unit. Very handy if you have kids not quite old enough to understand and need to leave the mower unattended. There’s not much point going through in detail so I’ll do a little recap instead. You can read the full review at the link provided if that interests you, otherwise here’s the recap:

Let’s take a look at some of the key features and then I will go into more detail on the important points to note. Main Features When that happens, we will all benefit, the question will be are we using robotic lawn mowers by then? 🙂Since I wrote this review a couple of years ago the DLM380Z was top dog. Welcome the bigger, more powerful, and generally better all rounder: the Makita DLM460Z Twin 18V. It really is a case of anything you can do, I can do better with this upgraded and uprated model. More cutting, wider cut, faster cut and somehow it’s actually quieter. It is easily a comparable for a petrol lawn mower. Electric lawn mowers are more cost effective. You don’t have to keep buying petrol to fuel them and there is no need for oil or other parts required for petrol engines to work, such as spark plugs and the like. This also makes them more reliable and less prone to breaking down.

So without any hesitation at all, I personally believe the Makita DLM380Z cordless lawn mower is the best battery lawn mower out there. If you have any evidence or data contrary to mine, please send it in and I am willing to change the article if I can be convinced otherwise. My own research and use however, points to the Makita! Cordless lawn mower buyers guide The Makita DLM380Z is an affordable electric motor with plenty of convenient features on offer. The DLM380 is the latest cordless lawn mower from Makita that has a powerful 36v DC motor, powered by 2x 18v Lithium-Ion batteries, allowing you to use your existing power tool batteries. Included is the Grass Box and the mulching kit and the Self-Propelled is great for the steep hills and the weight is 35.4kg After talking up the Makita DLM380Z Manual 36V Cordless Lawn Mower so much, it was hard to get myself to write about the Bosch Rotak 43 LI Ergoflex cordless lawn mower. Don’t get me wrong, I think this is a great bit of kit, and in fairness they sell more than the Makita too I believe. In my mind though, it’s just not as good pound for pound. If you think about the fact it’s nearly double the price of the Makita and doesn’t offer much more performance, it is definitely left in trouble. But in the interests of being fair I shall review it on it’s own merits! Bosch Rotak 43 LI Ergoflex cordless lawn mower: ‘Powerdrive assisted cutting, 50 litre grass box, grass combs to get edges, and the batteries charge fast’

How tall or strong are you? Some mowers have adjustable height handles to be more comfortable to use. Self-propelled petrol mowers with key starts are much easier to use than pull-starts or heavy models that have to be pushed around.

If it wasn’t, then why bother with a huge collection box similar in size to normal mains powered electric lawn mowers? It’s easily the best Bosch cordless lawn mower and if not for the Makita, I would be all over this model myself. Ryobi cordless lawn mower As I already mentioned, the best battery lawn mower is the Makita DLM380Z Manual 36V Cordless Lawn Mower. It’s similar in performance to the Bosch but offered at nearly less than half the price, it’s really hard to pass up. The Bosch is a contender for the best battery lawn mower though if we are talking strictly about power and performance. It might even be slightly better than the Makita. A great feature not found on other cordless mowers is the dual battery gauge on the upper part of the bars, making is easy and convenient to see the power left in each of the two batteries, nice touch Makita! If you think about that for a second, it’s a remarkable achievement. The skills and expertise or lawn mower manufacture Flymo have is basically second to none. They dominate the market for small to mid-sized gardens, have a brilliant reputation and probably the best testing and development in the UK. The Makita ELM3311X is an ideal electric mower for properties with lawns up to 400m, with its 1,100W electric motor. The unit benefits from inboard wheels for cutting close to walls and boarders, it also comes with a high-quality light weight, 27 litre cloth grass collection bag with fill indicator for added user convenience.

When making my choice for the hover lawn mower, I had to think of a few things. Firstly, is it good value for money? Secondly, is it practical for a small garden? And finally, what features does it have that makes it stand out from the crowd? Before we decide what’s what – here’s what the manufacturer thinks about their features: Before we get going though, it’s such a long read that I’m going to put a table of contents in place and let you know the best cordless lawn mower right now. Best cordless lawn mower: Makita DLM380Z Manual 36V Cordless Lawn Mower The Flymo Turbo Lite 250 Electric Hover Lawnmower won the best electric lawn mower for small gardens as well the hover mower category. I’m afraid there’s not a lot I can do if Flymo are out front when it comes to value and small gardens! In fact they won everything budget pretty much. You just can’t seem to beat them for price to performance and I guess that’s what comes from years of testing, research, and development. Here’s a look at the old 250: FLYMO 250 – the olden days I have to say, I can’t help but feel a little underwhelmed by the Flymo cordless lawn mower in this review. Whilst I don’t know if that’s entirely due to the actual performance of the cordless mower itself, or because I expect them to deliver near perfection at head scratching budget time and time again. So when they make a product that’s only good, I am jumping on their case.
