For safe, powerful showering combined with practical features look no further than the Mira Event XS Thermostatic. This model has a lovely white & chrome finish giving it a modern and clean aesthetic. My Mira XS thermostatic has stopped working. The on/ off switch does my not stay on although the shower runs if I keep my finger on the on/off switch. I suspect a faulty on/off switch and I think that means a new Harness Assembly. This is a great shower. Controllable pressure allows you to use the minimum of water - good for the bills and the environment, controllable temp works well.

Okay maybe not that quiet but compared with the beast it replaced it may as well be. Even on the Eco setting it produces plenty of what feels like soft spray. The other settings look interesting but neither of us has had the courage to use the massage one which is particularly fierce but will prove useful for cleaning the bath. I previously had a Mira Essentials power shower which had given 6 years service but had developed a leak in the water shut-off solenoid valve. Rather than try to replace the valve, I decided to replace the entire unit since it was all looking a bit shabby anyway. The Mira Event XS was a good match and I found I could use some of the original holes in the tiles for the shower head rail. The fit was easy enough since everything was in the same place. I found the temperature control knob very difficult to remove though. Im pleased with the new shower and with the customer service from Plumbworld. Hello, this is not a heater, it is a mixer, it has to be fed with hot and cold gravity water. the only power is for the pump (165watt approx) Hello, it sounds like the potentiometer has failed, you need to replace the harness 453.11 if it is manual and 453.10 if it is thermostatic.What do you think, I've had the shower since 2009 and had no problems. Is fitting a Harness Assembly a job for an electrician or can it be done diy? Insert the end of the push-fit tool under the temperature control knob, in line with the temperature override button, and lever off the temperature knob. The flow and temperature controls are separated to give you more flexibility. The flow controls also control the power, turning from the ‘stop’ position to increase the flow of your shower. This Mira Event XS must be fixed to the wall at all three fixing positions. The fixing holes are elongated to assist in vertical and horizontal alignment. Run the hot and cold water supply pipes at 28mm centres, ensuring that the pipe ends project into the Mira Event XS by 30mm to allow connection into the inlet manifold.

The separate temperature controls mean that the shower will remember the temperature you set for the next time you turn it on. If, however, this does not fix it, I am probably looking at a new inlet manifold. If I was to buy both from you and not use the manifold, could I return it?
