About this deal

The claimed power usage of the LED panels is 40W. We measured the overall maximum power usage at 44W. This was with the brightness at 100% nd the color temperature at 4400K. If you want to have maximum brightness from the lamps, these are the settings to go for. A 96 CRI is great, but it is a good idea to take the claims of these Chinese products with a grain of salt. From what I am able to see with the naked eye, however, the color reproduction of these lights is more than satisfactory. So if you are a photographer, videographer, or artist who values accurate colors, these lights have you covered.

Each panel comes with a removable white diffuser. You can add the diffuser to create softer light. This is especially useful when you want to avoid harsh shadows on your subjects, for example when you are doing portrait work. Built-in Applicable Scenes Modes: This RGB light adopts a constant current control design which brings better effect for video shooting with no stroboscopic phenomenon; The brightness can be adjusted from 0 to 100% in steps of 10%. In practice, this is more than enough resolution and it is unlikely that you will need finer control. In addition, the LED panels have a claimed CRI (color rendering index) of 96+. CRI is measured on a scale of 0 to 100 percent and indicates how accurately a light source can reproduce natural light. The higher the CRI, the more natural the colors of illuminated subjects look. Sturdy & Stable Stand- The light stands are adjustable from 3ft/0.9m to 6.5ft/2m in height. Strong enough to hold the panel lights yet compact enough to take on the go. It’s also easy to set up and use. This can be a problem in dynamic environments with lots of people walking around. Someone might walk into the stand or trip over the power cable. Although the cheaper lighting solutions on the market still tend to have a reputation for having a poor build quality even though this realistically stopped about a decade ago, we still see people instantly presume that anything under the Three Hundred Dollar mark will have a low build quality. Although this is not specific to just the Neewer 660 but pretty much all modern lighting units at its price point these days, the build quality really is great for the price you are paying.

Upgraded 50W high power and ultra-high CRI 97+, it helps to restore and enrich the color of the light objects, providing you with a natural and vivid shooting effect. When using a diffuser there is always some light loss. If brightness is your goal, you are better off leaving them out. Professional RGB video light creates an adjustable color light for different types of shots. Special effects offer more options for video, photography, advertising, movies, and sporting events. The claimed range on the remote is 20 meters (~66 feet). We found it to be about 14 meters indoors with a concrete wall in between, so 20 meters in open air sounds about right. On a more positive note: the stand is easily adjusted and does not take up a lot of space when fully retracted. That brings our Neewer 660 Review to an end and as we mentioned at the start of the article, the review would be overly positive and rightly so as we feel as well as many other people that Neewer really have done an excellent job with the 660 and created a great light that will make a great addition to your studio lights.
