About this deal

As characters, Wren and Sin are flawed, but I continued rooting for them through all of the angst. Wren is a strong and sassy woman who you don’t want to cross, while Sin is legit SWOONY and complex as a morally grey character. I kid you not when I tell you that I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for them to get together and when they did...

Friends are the confidants, the support system, and the soul siblings who bridge the gap between blood relations.” Some of the strongest family bonds are formed with people who enter your life and never leave your side.”When hostilities deepen and war draws near, Wren is determined to rein in her wild magic and bind it to her will. With the lives of everyone she loves at stake, Wren must look within and decide if she is the monster she fears, or if there is light to be found in the darkest parts of herself.

This is a slow burn romance, but once it starts burning… IT BURNS! Some of my favorite scenes in the book are ones that have a lot of close-proximity tension, and the kind that has the readers screaming, “JUST KISS ALREADY!” One scene in particular happens shortly after an argument ensues between them, and they find themselves alone in the woods at night. I won’t give away any spoilers, but let’s just say, it *may* end up with the FMC pushed against a tree with his hands on either side of her head. The tension in that scene about sends me to the chiropractor every time I read it. In the tapestry of life, family is the thread that weaves us together, creating a strong and unbreakable bond.” Family isn’t always about sharing the same last name; it’s about sharing a genuine connection and a piece of your heart.” Also, the author was really promising a great deal of a “new” vampire story. No creepy age difference, which was appreciated. It would have been nice without the weird girl vs girl moment. Majority of the writing was immature, it would have been interesting if the author had managed to deviate from the early 2000s and produced something less competitive. Positive female relationships are amazing, but also so is not type writing the only other female character as a bitch who’s attracted to the male lead.

I love that there is no weird 100 year old vampire difference like in Twilight which is the main thing I dislike about Twilight! I love how pure their relationship is and it's not insta love, it starts as friendship and develops like it's the perfect pace! Both the main characters are so wonderful and just nice good people which I love. I enjoyed the dual POV because then I know I can trust both the characters and their intentions but that may be just my trust issues. I think the characters are written very well too, like they act the age they are described to be! I honestly loved it, it had me hooked, I loved the characters, I loved the strong friendships and family bonds! Honestly couldn't put it down. True family is a constellation of kindred spirits, bound by empathy, understanding, and a shared sense of belonging.”

Time," He stated simply. "strength, respect," Wilburs head jerked up at that, breath caught, but he stayed silent. "Power," the man finished, grinning at the way Wilbur's whole body seemed to strain with yearning. He could smell it on him. laying on the storage room cot, He had dreamed of crows and fangs and blood. And every night after. His days were spent reading, devouring every book that mentioned vampires at all, looking for any answers they could give, any hint into who that man truly was. Phil had been Power and predator and Man all rolled into one. Wilbur yearned for more. So he read and read and read. Every character was so well developed and it was the most enjoyable first in a series book I’ve read in years.

In the vast expanse of life, blood relations are the constellations that give us a sense of belonging.” The love between friends is a kind of blood connection – invisible, yet deeply felt and unbreakable.” TLDR: If you want a cozy vampire book with a romance subplot that has: camping trips, a college setting, golden retriever boys, and a gorgeous display of a found family... then you'd love this. If you're looking for a super angsty vampire book, this is not the one for you. Family isn’t just a lineage; it’s a network of hearts, each contributing to the tapestry of your life.” No, I'm not gonna kill ya. I wanna give you a gift." The man said, humor lacing his words the way a parent would speak to a child. A wave of curiosity pushed away the fear and his brow furrowed. To his left, a crow squawked.
