About this deal

The Aeldari Battle Host Detachment rule takes this mastery of fate further, letting you re-roll one Hit and Wound roll each time you shoot or fight – they’ve not suffered for millennia to fail on that vital coup-de-grâce.

The Farseer seems like a unit which will be staple for most of the Aeldari armies, as it can further manipulate dice, and the extra toughness given to units is also a plus – just don’t forget to hide it behind troops or cover.TheChirurgeon: Death Guard can take seven-model Plague Marine units. Honestly, this is kind of nice for allowing them slightly more freedom to create lists and I’ll admit that sometimes 7 models is the right number (though usually it’s the number of warpflamers I want). And it does let you do the odd combo of a 5-man and a 7-man pair of units in a single Rhino with no characters, which sure is a thing you can do. Also, Plagueburst Crawlers are one of the very few sources of Indirect that don’t take a nerf, which is a nice little bit of help, though they’re also still shooting AP-1 indirect guns.

Diviners of Fate- Roll an additional D6 for Strands of Fate. This is fine to help fish for the options you want, though it doesn’t allow you to keep any extra so just bear that in mind. Not a terrible choice, especially if nothing else takes your fancy. Here are a ton of new 10th Edition Warhammer 40k Aeldari rules, including Strands of Fate, weapons, and index cards datasheets! For example, let’s say I rolled four 1s, three 2s, and 5 6s. I would pair four of the results of 1 with 4 of the results of 6, leaving me with three results of 2 and 1 result of 6. Adding those numbers up I get 12. Subtracting 3.5 for each of the four dice I get a final value of -2. My distribution produced a mean value that was 2 less than the population. Firesabre- Replacing a Banshee Blade or Starglaive, you get +3Str AP-4 D2 that does an additional Mortal Wound on 6s to Wound. It’s not bad as far as melee weapons go, though it’s a fairly minor upgrade for a Starglaive. Aspect Warriors: In 9th edition Aspect squads stood out strongly based on the strength of their Exarch and their powers. With few exceptions, most aspects only had a single Exarch power that truly distinguished itself from the rest either due to realities of the gameplay or costing. That often drove a single ‘correct’ choice for each Aspect. In 10th, the Aspects have been reevaluated to focus less on their Exarch abilities and more on what the unit wants to do as a whole – giving new life to some and redefining others.Leaders of the Warhost– A maximum of one AUTARCH per Detachment. This is fine, and you likely weren’t looking to take more than one anyways If your Detachment is Battle-Forged (which will be most armies) and only has ASURYANI units in it (though there are exceptions for YNNARI , covered in their section). The faction-wide Army Rule for the Eldar will still be Strands of Fate in the next Edition of Warhammer 40k, but will work a little differently than in the current version of the tabletop wargame. Instead of getting Fate dice before the start of each round, you’ll only roll once at the start of the game. The Eldar players can make 12 D6 Strands of Fate rolls, which they can reroll almost indefinitely if they roll one dice less each time – until Fate smiles on them, and they think they rolled good enough (or they only have 1 dice left). The Howling Banshees, terrifying Craftworld Aspect Warriors, close on some out-matched Guardsmen supported by Aeldari grav-tanks. Image courtesy of Warhammer Community. So who are the Aeldari? This latter use case is going to cause a table flip when it happens. I’m not even sure it’ll be undeserved.
