About this deal

Fluke-Solve® PLUS can be used in a pond without affecting either the bacterial filters or the plants. It is effective at temperatures from 3°C.

Yes – any loss or removal of water from the pond will dilute the treatment making it less effective and running the risk of developing resistance. Turn it off for 7 days and then do a 10 -15% water change, remembering to top-up the product lost with the water change. Fluke Solve Plus can be used with the presence of salt when added as a therapeutic. Fish can be fed normally during treatment. Fluke Solve Plus is safe with biofilters and plants. For use in ponds containing Koi carp exclusively. As it can be harmful to goldfish. Extensive research has resulted in the creation of Fluke Solve Plus, a specially developed product for the treatment of the resistant and new strain of flukes which are now causing serious problems in koi. Fluke-Solve® contains 50% praziquantel, and its unique rapidly dissolving formulation means you can see it dispersing through the water as soon as you add it to your pond or tank. It successfully treats skin and gill flukes (Monogenean species), eye flukes (Diplostomum species) and intestinal tapeworms, even by immersion, and can be used in a wide range of fish including Koi Carp and Goldfish. A No, re dose after 3 weeks, the product will kill any new fluke if left in the pond during that time. (gill fluke). Egg Layers.Fluke-Solve Plus® uses a combination of the well-tried technology of Fluke-Solve®, which is a special formulation of praziquantel which easily and rapidly dissolves in ponds and tanks, combined with nitroscanate and emamectin benzoate – you can see it dispersing through the water as soon as you add it to your pond. In the case of some rare resistant egg-laying flukes repeat the initial dose after 3 weeks to ensure the active ingredients are in the water long enough to kill any hatching fluke larvae and break the cycle of infection. A Depends on the infestation, fish rubbing/flashing is common as the dead flukes irritate the gills. Helped me out there , my flukes are difficult to get rid of this year and some are still on the koi after 2 treatments (body flukes) so if its still active for 6 weeks the out look should be dead flukes Hope so mate, but this stuff should kill them all in 24hrs (body flukes) or so I was told. This is what I was told to do by Darren at AK and its what he does. I asked Fiona about it and the reply was its abit outdated but works but there's no need at all to do it that way. I think its supposed to remove some slime first??? I've no idea when it comes to medications that why I phone her up and asked so many questions. Better to ask and get the answers was my thinking lol. A Yes, its best to, re dose if you carry out any water changes for the amount of water you change. (Gill Fluke). Egg layers

No – you do not need to use any chemicals such as potassium permanganate or chloramine T to strip the mucus before treatment. The mucus is part of the fish’s defence mechanism and Fluke-Solve Plus® will still kill the flukes in the presence of mucus. No – again ‘detox’ products are designed to remove impurities from the pond water, which can include the active ingredients from the pond water. Fluke Solve Plus uses a combination of the proven technology of Fluke Solve (praziquantel) with a new active ingredient (nitroscanate). The special formulation of praziquantel, which easily and rapidly dissolves in ponds and tanks, combined with nitroscanate, means you can see it dispersing through the water as soon as you add it to your pond or tank. Do not use in animals other than those indicated. Serious reactions, including deaths, have been reported in dogs (especially Collies, Old English Sheep Dogs and related breeds), tortoises and turtles treated with products containing related active substances. There is no need to turn off the UV during this treatment period and the product is safe for biological filters. #Take care to turn off protein skimmers and foam fractionators while it is in use since they will remove the praziquantel from the water, as will modern filtration systems which use carbon derivatives or other absorbant materials or liquids which are used to detoxify the pond water and some drum filter technologies. Flukes (and fluke eggs) can survive in the detritus in a pond so a good clean up makes sense before treatment to remove these hiding places. The product is designed to persist in the pond water for at least 3 weeks, so when you give the 2nd dose 3 weeks after the first, it will ensure that the active ingredients are present for at least 6 weeks which will break the life cycle of any egg-laying flukes. Fluke-Solvecontains 50% praziquantel, and its unique rapidly dissolving formulation means you can see it dispersing through the water as soon as you add it to your pond or tank. It successfully treats skin and gill flukes (Monogenean species), eye flukes (Diplostomum species) and intestinal tapeworms, even by immersion, and can be used in a wide range of fish including Koi Carp and Goldfish. Unlike Fluke-Solve Plus, standard Fluke-Solve can be used in a wide range of fish including Koi Carp, Sturgeon and Goldfish.
