About this deal

As the majority of pushchair companies provide adaptors for use with Maxi-Cosi infant carriers, you're sure to be able to use the Pebble Plus with your pushchair. When you're ready to remove the car seat from your adaptors on the pushchair, there are two grey buttons at either side of the seat, just to the side of the handle. They are memory buttons so it can be done one handed to press each button and then lift with the handle. The front of the speakers has no grill, not even an optional one, which I don't mind myself, especially since the splash of gold on the drivers looks pretty nice. But some might lament the omission. A more significant source of annoyance is the messy cables. Pairing the speakers to your phone, tablet or smartphone couldn’t be easier. Press the small Bluetooth button on the right satellite and the speakers will immediately enter pairing mode. Unsurprisingly, given the V3’s price, there’s no support for advanced Bluetooth codecs so you’ll be making do with basic SBC.

At Mother & Baby, we were assisted with help from our Mother & Baby Testers to review the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus & 2wayfix base. During the testing process, we were testing for its overall performance, usability and build. Here's what our testers had to say about the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus. Depending on the height of the driver and the size of your car, it may be best to install the base and car seat behind the passenger's seat. The passenger's seat will also need to be pushed forward a couple of notches, to allow extra room. This is due to the space that the base and support leg take up, and is common amongst i-Size car seats that support extended rear facing. Whether you’re looking for a compact, cheap way of enhancing your tinny laptop’s sonic output or seeking an audiophile experience to do your custom-built gaming rig justice, there are plenty of great PC speakers to choose from. You can also select between three audio modes using Razer’s Synapse 3 software: stereo, THX and Dolby Virtual Surround, giving you great flexibility in how you listen to music or enjoy in-game audio. And for lovers of RGB, the satellites provide minimalist lighting via thin LED strips on their bases. Mother&Baby Tester, Angela, said:"I absolutely adore this car seat for many reasons, not least because it is so beautiful! The seat is used in conjunction with the 2way family base and is compliant with the new isize regulations. The base can be used with this seat and then again with the next stage up. The base comes with isofix fittings or the seat can be strapped into the car using the seat belt."Mother&Baby Tester, Eleanor, said:"I’d definitely recommend the Pebble Plus to fellow mums. The seat comes with a great, comfy insert for a newborn, giving you the reassurance that they are nice and snug and safe. The cushion also looks like it would give great head support compared to other car seats." Final thoughts The 60-watt Class D amplifier delivers 30 watts to each speaker, and this pushes the 4.5in woofer and 0.75in tweeter to surprisingly high volumes. Sound quality is good too, with enough bass to give music a decent amount of weight, and a high-end that reveals detail in everything from Zoom calls to delicate classical works.

Compatible with other brands: Is compatible across prams from other brands, such as Bugaboo, Quinny and iCandy. Birth to 4 years+ option: You can upgrade the car seat as baby grows to adapt until up to four years old. The sound quality delivered by monitors and laptops tends to be pretty disappointing and PC speakers are the simplest way to upgrade your audio without the need for large amplifiers or lots of connection cables. Unfortunately, removing it from a travel system chassis was another story: the buttons have to be pressed and the seat has to be pulled up at the same time, so you end up simultaneously pushing down and lifting up. To be honest, it's a bit of a faff, and surprising as the rest of the attachments are so smooth and simple.Too big for some cars: A few of our testers reported that they had trouble fitting it into their car as it was too large. However, with the 2wayfix base being discontinued and the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus car seat being a few years old, with newer and more competitive products on the market - it begs the question, would this car seat still stand as well in the current market? FAQs Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus base compatibility? Connection options aren’t the most extensive, but Bluetooth provides a welcome wireless option if you’re not hooking the bar up to your PC using the included USB-C to USB-A cable or simply want to use the Leviathan V2 to stream music from your phone. Speaking of your phone, the Razer Audio mobile app allows you to select from Music, Game, Movie and Flat EQs, or create your own using a ten-band graphic equaliser. You can also customise the Chroma lighting effect on the bottom of the bar, and similar options can also be found in the Razer Synapse software for PC. JBL’s One Series 104 were impressive desktop speakers, but the new model adds Bluetooth to the mix. The result is great-sounding speakers that are perfectly suited to both work and play.

The Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus is a rear facing car seat specifically designed for newborns. It's a Group 0+ car seat which means it can be used from birth to 13kg or until your child is 75cm in length, whichever comes first. The easy-fitting harness and impact-absorbing side wings on this seat make it supremely comfortable for babies and easy to use for parents – a winning combination in our book.

While the speakers can be powered from your computer via the aforementioned USB-C port, to get the full benefit of the Pebble Pro’s you’ll want to connect them up to a 30-watt adaptor, which allows for a beefy30W RMS and 60W peak output. Sadly, the adaptor isn’t included in the box and is available as optional extra. The good news is that there are no dealbreakers with the Pebble Plus for anyone. These speakers are tremendous. But there are still a few points you might find an issue with. The sheer size of the Nommo Pro makes it a poor choice for those short on desk space but if you have the room to accommodate it, it’s a powerful and versatile system that will enhance your audio experience whether you’re gaming, watching a movie or simply listening to some tunes. The sound quality is excellent, with plenty of detail and a massive amount of bass if you turn the subwoofer up to 11. The S351DB is perhaps more at home with music and video sources than gaming because the system is tuned for warmth and balance rather than staccato detail but that subwoofer certainly gives gaming sound effects some serious impact.
