About this deal

Among all, timber is the most commonly used material for the framework. However, the big disadvantage associated with a timber frame is that it has a tendency to warp, swell and shrink. Shuttering Oil is a highly effective release agent. You can use Rye Oil’s shuttering oil to remove concrete shuttering easily. It will always leave the edge of the concrete structure clean and well formed. Suitable for most types of form work including potable water structures. Not affected by rain after application. Great for decorative works as this product is stain free. You can use this on treated or untreated wood, steel or plastic.

Application/ Composition: Shuttering Oil is used straight from the drum and no stirring or mixing is required. Shuttering Oil is applied by spraying guns, rollers or by brushes prior to pouring aerated concrete and are recommended for use as a concrete mould release agent with the protection of moulds fromrust. Typical Properties: When placing formwork over an existing solid base, such as a concrete slab or macadam surfacing, the same system of forms and bracing is used but often, rather than driving bracing pegs into the ground, the horizontal bracing will be affixed to the surface using masonry nails, screws, ground bolts or similar, as shown in the photograph below (kindly provided by GB Groundworks & Construction Ltd. ) Formwork used to retain a concrete plinth laid over an existing base To ensure that the corners are at right angles, you can use corner braces or clamps. This will help keep the formwork in shape when the concrete is poured. Step 6: Supporting the Shuttering One of the critical factors that govern the performance of shuttering oil is the type of formwork on which it is to use. It is dilutable and is used as a mould release agent. Generally, dilution ratio has a value of about 1 part of the volume of water to 5 parts of the volume of de-shuttering oil. 3) De-shuttering Oil Emulsions (DSOM)

Release Agents

If you do not use oil on shutter - it wont harm concrete but it will lead to damages of shutter at earliest, which increases the cost of material and contractor get heavy losses due to it. Shuttering, also known as formwork, is one of the most critical aspects of any concrete project. It provides the mold into which concrete is poured and subsequently cured. Done correctly, shuttering ensures that your concrete base is of the desired shape, dimensions, and finish. However, any mistake in this process can lead to structural weaknesses, cosmetic issues, or costly repairs. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of setting up shuttering for a concrete base the right way. Planning & Design Determine the Dimensions Shuttering oil (also called Formwork oil) is a high-quality mineral oil that applies to the inner surface of formwork before concreting. It is also known as form or mould release agent. Usage: Coating Auxiliary Agents, Electronics Chemicals, Leather Auxiliary Agents, Paper Chemicals, Petroleum Additives, Plastic Auxiliary Agents, Rubber Auxiliary Agents, Surfactants, Textile Auxiliary Agents, Water Treatment Chemicals Both shuttering and framework use to accomplish the same task but the main difference lies in the fact that different materials use for accomplishing the task.

Preparation Of Used Moulds - All traces of adherent material either concrete or previous oil deposits must be removed prior to use. Moulds previously used with Dr.S.Bond Shuttering Oil will require only light brushing as the presence of fine dust will improve the wetting out properties of Dr.S.Bond Shuttering Oil. This will usually result in improved release properties on the second and subsequent uses of the mould. Greatly reduced swelling effect on thermoplastics and rubber when compared with conventional release agents. There should not be any free oil on the wood surface. The form release agents that are good for wooden formwork are not always suitable for steel formwork. And hence the shuttering oil or form release agents should be chosen based on the type of formwork that is to be used for construction. If reinforcement get coated with shutter oil due to heavy application, consider cleaning of reinforcement bars with detergent (coating of shuttering oil is most dangerous and can cause failures as it wont allow rebar to get bond with concrete)EVERBUILD 206 STRIKE RELEASE shuttering oil a high quality sprayable chemical release agent for use on all types of standard form work materials. Chemical reaction provides clean, positive release even with more porous form materials eg wood and a matt stain free concrete surface with minimal incidence of blowholes and form work damage. There are two main types of formwork used for casting ground slabs: Steel "Roadform" and custom-made timber shuttering. Use string lines or marking paint to outline the area where the concrete will be poured. Make sure the lines are straight and at right angles to ensure a perfect shape. Step 3: Cutting and Assembling the Boards Our consistent commitment to quality, here at DANA has ensured that we deal in oil that is well compliant with all the international safety standards and also provides superior results (providing a good surface finish) Applications of shuttering oil

Carefully formulated from selected highly refined mineral oils, it is recommended for spray application to moulds manufactured from wood, metal, polypropylene, ABS, polyurethane and other plastics which are susceptible to long term damage by conventional release agents. STRIKE RELEASE OIL gives a water repellent coating protecting form work from rain showers and providing a degree of rust inhibition to steel form work. Our list of experience speaks for itself, that includes, our groups, clients like ACC LIMITED, GR INFRAPROJECTS, H.G. INFRA ENGINEERING, RDC CONCRETE, ULTRATECH CEMENT LTD. LAFARGE, L & T, JKUMAR INFRAPROJECTS, AFCONS INFRASTRUCTURE, APCO INFRASTRUCTURE ETC. ALL OVER INDIA.

The first step is to prepare the ground where the concrete base will be laid. Remove any debris, roots, or other organic material from the area. Step 2: Marking the Area All formwork, whether is be steel roadform or timber shuttering, needs to be coated with a Release Agent (Mould Oil) before any concrete is placed. The purpose of a Release Agent is to prevent the concrete bonding to the formwork and then 'scabbing' when the formwork is removed. They also help ensure the formwork stays clean and free from concrete, so that it can easily be re-used elsewhere. DANA Lubricants Factory LLC ( www.danalubes.com) established in 2002 is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company; we manufacture our products in Dubai, UAE. We take immense pride in asserting the fact that we are one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of high-grade transformer oil. Our market extends over a wide demographic as we export over products to a number of countries including Bangladesh, Turkey, Africa, South America, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand. Being one of the top suppliers, we have always worked hard so that we can deliver the most premium of qualities at non-premium and affordable prices. To avoid contamination of the reinforcement, it is advised that the shuttering oil is applied on the formwork before it is erected. However, as Engineers, we overlook the disastrous effects it can have over the set concrete as well as the reinforcement which is coated with this oil and is generally not washed with detergent etc to remove the oil.

Depending on the size of your concrete base, you may need additional supports. Insert supporting stakes or props on the outside of the shuttering to prevent it from bowing out when filled with wet concrete. If it’s a large project, internal supports may also be necessary. Step 7: Shuttering Oil Application

Roadform:

Setting up shuttering for a concrete base might seem like a daunting task, but with meticulous planning, precise measuring, and attention to detail, it’s entirely achievable. Shuttering is more than just creating a mold for concrete; it’s the foundation upon which the quality of your finished project rests. So take the time to do it right, and you’ll be rewarded with a concrete base that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. If we consider the effective use then these release agents work out cheaper as the shutters are protected at the same time giving you more repetition in turn becoming cost-effective to both the contractors as well as the client in case shuttering is in his scope.
