About this deal

They are all affordable price, ranging from less than a hundred dollars up to a few hundred dollars. The most popular of the bunch, at least amongst watch enthusiasts is the Seiko 5 sports, which are watches that are sporty, robust, and durable. The watch is presented on a stainless steel bracelet which is mostly satin-brushed but has some polished parts which help it match the case perfectly and also keep it from being too tool-like.

The dial is just clean and elegant like a blank canvas that only has the most important parts left, and nothing unnecessary left. As they say, perfection is met not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to remove. Seiko 5 SNKL41 movement The good news is that if you wish to change, this watch also looks great on straps as well. Specifications The mechanical watches in the Seiko 5 collection have been enchanting watch lovers around the world since the early 1960s. It is one of the best-selling automatic watch lines worldwide and has always been aimed at sporty watch enthusiasts who are young at heart. I have a modest collection of watches, including 2 other Seiko 5 models, one of which is 14 years old. So, the Seiko 5 is well known to me.

Seiko 5's are not the best automatic watches in the world and nobody in Switzerland is losing sleep over Seiko 5's. However if nothing else Seiko 5's are very durable and since the technology isn't exactly groundbreaking they are super affordable. Translation, Seiko 5's are a decent watch that last a very long time even under rough use, yet relative to anything else that is as durable they are really cheap. In short a bargain if you get one that keeps time out of the box to within 1 minute or so per week. Its value proposition becomes extra evident when you look at this watch in detail. It’s not the best watch out there in terms of finish and build quality, but in relation to its price, there are few better alternatives on the market. This watch contains an "un-adjusted" Seiko 7S26 movement. This movement's strong point is that it continues to run reliably, just about as accurately, for a very long time before requiring service - typically well over 12 years. Up to 20+ is quite possible. Some people claim to have Seiko watches from the 60s (with very similar movement inside) that are still running beautifully without ever visiting a watch maker (50+ years!).

Das Armband habe ich gewechselt. Nicht weil die Qualität des von Seiko gelieferten Armbands schlecht ist, sondern lediglich aus optischen Gründen. The watch has leaf/dauphine-style hands which are made of metal and have a polished finish. The minute and hour hands have Lumibrite applied to them. The watch has applied rectangular-shaped metal markers with a polished finish. Next to the markers, on the inside, they each have a luminous dot which helps with legibility in the dark. The catch however is that the lume on this watch isn’t great, but at the same time, that is not a huge issue seeing its purpose. All in all, if you are looking for a stylish, robust, and reliable everyday watch, there are very few better alternatives than the Seiko 5 SNKL41. In 2020, Seiko incorporated the 5 Sports series into the Seiko 5 collection. The collection thus comprises the Sports, Suits, Street, Specialist, and Sense series in addition to classic Seiko 5 models. While the Sports line mostly offers diving and pilot's watches, you'll find some colorful, stainless steel diving watches in the Suits line as well. The Seiko Sense and Street series are home to playful, multicolored designs. Lastly, the Specialist line features diving watches made of stainless steel, some of which have a bronze or golden exterior.

Automatics are vintage cool to me and are also GREEN, meaning environmentally responsible. Automatics each have a personality. Quartz watches don't have personalities being more of a robot. The watch has a fixed polished bezel and brushed lugs. A nice detail of this watch is that the case has polished bevels which enhance the feeling and impassion of quality of this timepiece. The Seiko 5 range consists of a wide collection of timepieces for all kinds of occasions and purposes. These timepieces have a lot in common, which defines the Seiko 5 range, but the most important for you to know is that they are all automatic, and they all offer exceptional value for money. The watch is equipped with the automatic Seiko caliber 7S26C. This watch beats with a frequency of 21600 BPH (6 beats per second) and has a power reserve of about 41 hours. It is equipped with 21 jewels.

The Seiko 5 SNKL45 is built as an everyday watch with a sporty presence. It is extremely versatile and suitable for all kinds of different occasions. It looks just as great with casual clothes as it does with a suit.

But one thing is for sure, this movement will likely not let you down, which after all is the most important thing. Seiko 5 SNKL41 bracelet The ref. SNZG13K1 is paired with a three-piece link stainless steel bracelet. The ref. SNZG15K1 is an identical timepiece, but mounted on a textile strap. Both versions start at around 180 USD. A common issue with affordable watches is that the part that is generally compromised with the most is the bracelet, and that is also the case with the SNKL41. The stainless steel bracelet has folded links which makes the watch rattle and just feel cheap. The good news is that thanks to its design with combined polished and brushed elements, it looks great with the case, and is actually quite comfortable to wear. You'll get your money's worth on even an entry level Seiko 5 like this one more often than not. However know up front, like I said, "ANY SEIKO 5 IS A CRAP SHOOT" in precision accuracy out of the box. They were intended to get some post sale attention eventually for a fine tuning. Accuracy to within one minute a week out of the box on a Seiko 5 is great based on my experience. Accuracy freaks will be better off staying away from any mechanical watch at any price. Mechanical watches are like people, they are all different with their little quirks, good points and bad points. Here you have a decent automatic watch that can last you a decade or two depending on how beat up it gets. I like Seiko 5's as a work watch and like this particular one more than the other Seiko 5's I have worn because this one looks old school and keeps the best time. I am very happy with this little "Fleiger style" watch, particularly with it's dial, which compares to any that I have seen in the affordable watch space. The dial has a great deal of well composed detail, this is subtle and hard to see in photographs. In person this very inexpensive watch actually looks high-end.

La carga en stand-by (mientras no está en uso) dura 41 horas antes de detenerse y necesitar movimiento para ser cargada. A downside of this watch is that it only has a water resistance of 30m. This means it can resist water splashes but is not suitable for swimming and diving. It would have been nice with better water resistance, but it is important to have in mind that it is built as an everyday watch and not a sports watch. One reason for the relatively low water resistance is its crown. The crown is a push-pull crown and does therefore not protect against water in the same way as a screw-down does. There is a perfectly safe do it yourself regulation method that works for automatic watches called position regulating. For position regulating you put a fully charged automatic watch in a certain position and leave it stationary for hours, such as overnight. With the face up an automatic watch will gain a few seconds more than the normal rate during wear. With the watch on its side it will run a bit slower than the normal rate during wear so it loses time. With the crown (winding stem) pointing UP it will lose a few seconds more time than it will lose with the crown pointing down. Using position regulating like this helps, but if your watch loses or gains more than 10 seconds a day it won't help enough to keep it perfectly on time, but will help some. The bracelet is made from stainless steel and it comes fashioned in a classic three-link oyster style. The simplistic design of the oyster is celebrated for its practicality as well as its elegance. A deployment clasp is used to fasten the bracelet around the wearer’s wrist. The Functions:
