If there is one issue it is there is only 1 parking space out the front of the property and although there are 2 visitor spaces just 30 yards down the road, these are quite tight spaces. Currently this separate garden cottage offers a bedroom on the first floor and a large playroom on the ground floor, including a kitchen and two WC facilities, making it perfect for indoor parties too.
Each bedroom is a double and each can boast its own mesmerising views of the surrounding landscape, but it's the principal bedroom suite that is truly magnificent.Summer evenings are spent relaxing on the daybed, watching day turn to night, and stargazing until you fall asleep, and the campfire is eternally a magnet for gathering, chatting and toasting marshmallows.
The mum-of-three is moving full-time to a mansion formerly owned by fashion icon Laura Ashley, she bought it in 2021, transforming it into a green wellness retreat. Larger groups or families will love the freedom this location brings. Stroll to the shops or out for a coffee, then wander to Waterhead Pier to take a cruise on the Lake. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly from Waterhead Pier (just outside the village centre) and provide a scenic and car free route to Bowness and Lakeside. A fabulous way for all to explore. From summer family BBQs on the terrace that hugs the house to large social gatherings that effortlessly roll way into the night and all over the land, this garden can host it all and was even the most beautiful of settings for the current owners' wedding, with ample parking to welcome all the guests.We had a nice view from the windows, the landscape was very nice, and the people there are very friendly. I enjoyed most the beautiful nature and the open space. Although a substantial space, the lounge has a cosy and intimate ambience, with masses of comfy seating clustered around a log burner and dual access to different parts of the garden via two sets of bifold doors.
