Following the release of the 9 th edition Supplement, there is no better time to discuss all the units we have access to. Each week a different unit will appear, with the idea being that we discuss how best to use that model on the battlefield. Where part one will focus on the unique BA units and part two will focus on BA units that are new to this edition of the Codex, part three will discuss how to get the best use the generic units from the past that are still with us (and that many of us have in our armies still), and part four will discuss the Legends units that we still own and love. Forge World and Forge World Legends comprise parts five and six. Each time you upgrade one of the aforementioned units, its Power Rating is increased, as shown in the table below. If you are playing a matched play game, or a game that uses a points limit, then the points value of that unit is also increased by the amount shown in the same table. I'm a big fan of Terminators, and not just for their looks and fluff! They might be unpopular with tournament lists but if you play in a more casual setting they are great. If you have a Blood Angels successor Chapter, then for the purposes of using any Blood Angels Crusade rules, you can replace the BLOOD ANGELS keyword in all instances with the name of your successor Chapter. Legendary Crusade Relics can never be given to a model from a Blood Angels successor Chapter.

Indomitus Crusaders

Awarded to those warriors who prove their accuracy in combat, these badges are constructed by coating spent bolter shell casings, ejected from the weapons of great heroes, in gold.Improve the Ballistic Skill of each model in this unit by 1. x76 plastic components that make a 5 man Blood Angels Terminator Assault Squad armed with either lightning claws or thunder hammer and storm shield.

Some rules allow you to re-roll a dice roll, which means you get to roll some or all of the dice again. If a rule allows you to re-roll a dice roll that was made by adding several dice together (2D6, 3D6 etc.) then, unless otherwise stated, you must re-roll all of those dice again. If a rule allows you to re-roll specific dice results, only those dice can be re-rolled. If a rule allows you to re-roll a specific dice result, but the result is obtained by halving a D6 (such as when rolling a D3), you use the value of the halved roll to determine if it can be re-rolled, not the value of the original D6. Adding an Ancient with the Standard of Sacrifice relic will suddenly make these guys incredibly resilient since you get to ignore ecah wound they suffer on a 5+. Because each wound that you save can potentially be saved again, that has the overall effect of giving the squad 50% extra wounds. A source of rerolls such as a Chaplain will also help maxmimise the value of those expensive Thunder Hammers.

The Blood Angels will spare no effort to attain the material needed to create the Chapter's art and have even fought wars to obtain them. This includes Bloodstone gems, from the deep caves of the Cruor Mountain on Baal and the larvae of the Spinewyrm fauna. Bloodthirsty sand clams are also needed, as the white pigment used to paint the Chapter's angel wings, can only be obtained by crushing clams' shells.
