About this deal

If you’re unsure about what lights you should or shouldn’t be using at night, we published our guide to UK bike light laws. Peak Design is a company that prides itself on designing user-friendly products for carrying camera equipment and electronics with ease. The Everyday Messenger is no exception. This feature-rich bag has ambidextrous carrying capacities and provides great organization for camera equipment and other electronics. It is weather-resistant (though not waterproof), mounts easily onto the trolley handle of wheeled luggage for travel, and sits upright for easy access to your gear. For the right person or photographer, this bag is an exceptional option. We also updated our list of the best winter road bike tyres and best gravel tyres, with some of the latest releases in the two categories of tyres. There is no handle for you to grab the bag by which would be great for when it’s in the trunk or you’re in a crowded room. The Chrome Citizen is now made in Vietnam rather than the USA. While I didn’t have the older USA-made version to compare it with in the Chrome Citizen review, I see very little to complain about in terms of quality with the Vietnam version.

I travelled for a year around the world with it, hiked with it, biked with it,….constant with me at work or on any travel trip. It’s just so handy and versatile. The strap is widened at the shoulder, which is why it is so comfortable compared to other messengers. This distributes the weight very evenly across the shoulder without discomfort or friction points. Able to hold up to a 17 inch laptop with internal fasteners will keep your delicate or expensive products in place. Created with 1050 denier nylon and waterproof liner, the Citizen messenger will keep your contents safe and dry.It is clear to me why so many professional messengers use this bag. It carries a heavy load very, very comfortably– no pinching or rubbing or slipping which were a problem with my Timbuk2 Commute. The waterproof liner floats inside the main compartment enabling you to separate dirty from clean or wet from dry (great for the gym.) The Timbuk2 Classic Messenger is just that – a classic. It does a great job on the bike without reinventing the wheel. Comfortable, compact, intuitive design, easy on/off, reflective panel for higher visibility at night

There is also a discrete handle towards the top of the bag that is great for grabbing the bag and turning it into a professional looking briefcase. Context: I’m not a cyclist. Nonetheless, for the past 5 years I’ve exclusively used a Timbuk2 messenger bag for commuting and travel. Over that time I’ve discovered plenty of things that work and don’t work in a messenger bag. The main compartment flap is also relatively stiff and proportionally giant, so it opens over your face when you swing it around to the front to access the contents. This was more of a concern for smaller users, roughly under 5'8". The Chrome Citizen Messenger bag is perhaps the most comfortable messenger bag on the market which is one of the top reasons to consider this bag. Chrome has designed the bag so well that it makes riding with the bag just as enjoyable as if you weren’t even wearing it. I did find a couple small thread ends that hadn’t been trimmed and I would have liked to have seen double stitching along the lip of the flap and around the mouth of the main compartment. Comfort & Carry Industrial strength Velcro closures will keep your messenger flap down in heavy winds, especially while riding your bike as a courier around town.
