There is also a discrete handle towards the top of the bag that is great for grabbing the bag and turning it into a professional looking briefcase. Context: I’m not a cyclist. Nonetheless, for the past 5 years I’ve exclusively used a Timbuk2 messenger bag for commuting and travel. Over that time I’ve discovered plenty of things that work and don’t work in a messenger bag. The main compartment flap is also relatively stiff and proportionally giant, so it opens over your face when you swing it around to the front to access the contents. This was more of a concern for smaller users, roughly under 5'8".
