To be a man or a woman includes the gift of fertility. "If the parents are in some sense the foundations of the home, the children are like the 'living stones' of the family (see 1 Pt 2:5)" ( Amoris Laetitia, 14). Fertility enables many people to share in God's bringing of a new life into the world through procreation. Sadly, it must be remembered that we live in an imperfect world. The cross of infertility is part of many other people's lives. People who identify with this orientation may also identify with another sexuality, such as being gay, lesbian, or bisexual. Androsexual The adult manga/anime medium carries its own distinct subgenres as well. Futanari or sexual attraction to androgynous people is an extensive subgenre of seijin manga. Bakunyū is the subgenre that features females with very large breasts. In Japan lolicon refers to an attraction to underage girls. Outside Japan lolicon generally refers to the genre of seijin manga wherein childlike female characters are depicted in an erotic manner. Lolicon's male equivalent, shotacon is similarly used in the West to refer to the genre of manga and anime in which pre-pubescent or pubescent male characters are depicted in a suggestive or erotic manner.

A typical identifier for people with this orientation is that gender is not a factor in sexual or romantic attraction. Everyone is called to chastity. Chastity is necessary to the right living of one's sexuality. It requires practice, or as the Catechism calls it, an "apprenticeship in self-mastery," where a person learns the meaning of true freedom (see CCC, 2339). The chaste person is not governed by his or her emotions. Rather, the chaste person understands the meaning of sexual feelings and appropriate behaviors. Chaste self-possession brings true freedom and peace. A term used to describe an asexual person who experiences sexual feelings that are satisfied through self-stimulation or masturbation.

In summary, It is an understanding in which two or more people consent to get into to better their interests. At one end of the sexual orientation spectrum, a person may only be attracted to women, and at the other end, a person may only be attracted to men. Sex-averse describes those who are on the asexual spectrum and are averse to or extremely disinterested in sex or sexual behavior. Commitment is defined as a promise to someone regarding an obligation. Individuals in marriages and partnerships need to be loyal to each other to ensure that whatever the feelings they stay together for long (Lamana and Reidman, 2005). Within this one-day workshop, we aim to explore, develop, and critically engage with phenomenological descriptions of love and sexuality. We aim to foster dialogue between scholars working on any aspect of love and/or sexuality from a phenomenological perspective. This includes (but is not limited to): desire, sexed embodiment, sexual style(s) and identities, affective intentionality and affective atmospheres, modes of willing and striving, sexual orientation, intimacy, trans* experiences, sexual practices, relationship structures, the roles of empathy and imagination, temporalities, and sexed and gendered differences.
