Overall: I want to give in to the hype and grant the new Dr. Doom Legends figure the legendary ‘A+’, but I just can’t quite do that. This is easily the best 6” Doctor Doom figure ever made, in my opinion, but I think it’s still possible for Hasbro (or maybe a higher-end company like Mezco Toyz or Revoltech) to evolve an even more definitive and perfect figure of Victor von Doom. Thankfully the cape, hood, and skirt are all made from the same material so there is no difference in the white. I’m disappointed simply because the figure is a relatively striking addition to my display and I’d have liked to give him some more menacing poses, but alas, we cannot always get what we want. The skirts are supposed to be fairly pliable (they were on both my previous Doom figures) which should allow for leg movement. The Hasbro Marvel Legends Series is known for having a huge selection of articulated action figures depicting popular characters. If you’ve followed these heroes and villains for any length of time, you’re no doubt aware that they have gone through many incarnations, taking on new appearances to reflect eras of the comics and transitions to movies, TV shows, and video games. What this means is that the team at Hasbro aren’t short on source material from which to draw inspiration for new toys.
The skirt and hood and cape are all a bit of a hindrance for the range of various ranges of motion on this figure, but this isn’t Spider-Man—it’s Doctor Doom. For my purposes, I can achieve most of the poses I’d ever envision putting this maniacal monarch into. Your dynamic posing needs may vary. CAPTAIN MARVEL VS. DOCTOR DOOM: Whisked to another planet by the mysterious Beyonder, Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau) joins forces with fellow heroes in Secret Wars to stop Doctor Doom from becoming an all-powerful being Insofar as Doom goes, there is a lot to like about this figure and almost as much to be disappointed with. Doom’s head will easily turn side to side, though you have to lift the hood a bit to get it over the cloak.

Doom’s shoulders will make a decent “T” pose and though they can rotate 360, the cape does provide some hindrance. These Captain Marvel and Doctor Doom action figures are inspired by the characters' appearance in Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars comics and make a great addition to any collection of Marvel Legends action figures Paint-wise and plastic-wise, I am highly satisfied with this figure. All the joints are tight and hold position well, and none of the plastic feels likely to rip or tear easily. Paint deco is clean and neat to the human eye, although I can see a few trivial imperfections in hi-res photos I can’t see normally. The colors of the tunic and armor look swell to me, and I’ve got no complaints about the detailing when looking at it with my own eyes.

The arms and legs of this figure have shown up on previous Doom releases but are in a lighter silver. Though his features are obscured by his easily recognizable armored mask, the cold malevolence in the eyes is enough to give one pause.
