About this deal

This item is currently scheduled for release, but is not yet available at mass retail. Hatchet, Hound The AllSpark Almanac Volume 2 reveals that a Sideways paid a visit to the Animated universe; while inhabiting that universe, his body form bore minor similarities to Revenge of the Fallen Sideways, and he showed an interest in visiting Shanghai. The book only asserts this intention, not that he actually traveled there, nor does it specify which universe's Shanghai he meant—there is no unambiguous proof that such a jaunt was made and that the two Sidewayses are the same character. Author Jim Sorenson characterized the book as being meant to match the Animated series' penchant for "in-jokes and Easter Eggs", [4] suggesting that he might not have meant it to be taken seriously. Sorenson as Vector Prime later classified Sideways as a non-Singularity, noting the separate status of the numerous Sideways from the movieverse. I knew from pics I would not like the feet, but it's worse in hand. Side arm was a lot more stable if you moved those "toes" around, and he still looked correct with wheel feet. This version of Sideswipe is a Walmart-exclusive redeco of Sidearm Sideswipe. Featuring a new racing-themed deco, he is one of the most fanwank-filled mass released toys ever, featuring a small TransTech Autobot symbol on the rear fenders, an endorsement of " Lithonian Drivetrain" on the front fenders, another for " Maccadam's" on his trunk, one further logo that for " Sun bro", another ad for " Axalon Rattraps" (with the slogan "Safe. Humane. Yeah, right!" underneath), and finally the number 04, a nod to the original Sideswipe's Japanese ID number. Oh, and he's particularly blue and yellow. Unfortunately, some copies of Sideways have very loose ankle joints, meaning he can be quite difficult to stand up. This is due to his very thin leg design, as well as most of the figure's mass being included in and around the upper half of Sideways. However, one can use Sideways's gun to help with his stability by having him holding it down to the point where it touches the surface Sideways is standing on.

Sideways operated as a high-speed reconnaissance operative with the ability to snipe at Autobot opponents from afar with his plasma sniper rifle, engage them up-close with his rapid-firing slag repeater, and slow enemies to a crawl with his graviton mine when he needed to get away. He uses a pair of saws in melee combat. The code names of many of the other figures, assuming they even had code names, are still unknown, as those toys have (thus far) consistently been listed under their actual characters' names. Meanwhile, a listing for a supposed Voyager Class figure using the code name "Destroyer" later turned out to be a mislabeled Energon Igniters Speed Series Barricade from the Bumblebee movie toy line, with which the Studio Series shares its code names. Figure features vivid, movie-inspired deco, is highly articulated for posability, and comes with 2 blaster and 2 blade accessories His bicep and thigh swivels are REALLY tight on mine. I need to grip him hard to use those joints without moving something else.

Deluxe Class figures are 4.5-inch collectible action figures inspired by iconic movie scenes and designed with specs and details to reflect the Transformers movie universe, now including The Transformers: The Movie! Second, his doors, which collide the most with things... are clear ballcups. yeah I worry about the durability of these, but I do like that they are balljoints so they can articulate. I wish the wheels were painted, but I'll be painting this guy up anyway. One downside is I have trouble getting him to roll, but personally that's not an issue for me. Sideswipe's MechTech weapon, a large blaster, can convert to a runed Cybertanium sword with the press of a button. The weapon can be stored in any of the three MechTech ports in either mode, all of which include the spring-loaded filler piece to hide them when not in use. While the box art shows the blade of the flip-out sword painted blue with white Cybertronix runes, the final version opts for bare gunmetal plastic instead. ICONIC MODES: Figure features classic conversion between robot and licensed Chevrolet Corvette Stingray modes in 19 steps. Perfect for fans looking for a more advanced converting figure. For kids and adults ages 8 and upTransformation is pretty fun and not too complicated, though there are two issues I have with it. First, a lot of parts "collide," unlike Jazz I worry more about the paint rubbing off on this guy. I have nothing but praise to offer this magnificent action figure. Grindor is extremely accurate to how he appeared in the film. Attention to detail on the figure is amazing. The robot mode's articulation is outstanding; you can get him into all kinds of cool poses as you have him square off against whatever autobots dare try to take him on! Alt mode is similarly spectacular; for me the helicopter invokes much nostalgia due to its excellent accuracy and attention to detail. As for the transformation itself, complex but fun and unbelievably well engineered. I am absolutely blown away at how awesome this figure is. Definitely money well spent and I can safely say that I will be on the lookout for more studio series figures now that I know how well crafted they are! Got this one today, I have had all the versions of movie sideswipe, this one is pretty damn good. Jazz quality.

Besides his speed, Sideways enjoyed using deception to get himself out of trouble. This didn't work very well on Rollbar, who planned to make the lying Sideways an acquaintance of his fists. Why Sideways decided to change his paintjob for this meeting was anyone's guess. Rollbar VS Sideways He was made available the UK as a Sainsbury's exclusive, and in Australia and New Zealand as a Kmart exclusive. What should have happened what some clear plastic "shoes" you could clip on his feet for posing. Give him a small toe like side arm (so he could be posed without the clear feet) and make him look like he did in the movie...falling over wheel feet or not. Along with Breakaway, Sideways was initially released in two color schemes, a light silver version and a less common very dark silver version. If you move the headlights, doors and legs of the lighter Sideways to the darker one, allowing for a dark hood and roof, and silver everywhere else, it helps to make for a slightly more movie-accurate Sideways. However, the stripes will still be missing. Figure features classic conversion between robot and licensed Chevrolet Corvette Stingray modes in 19 steps. Perfect for fans looking for a more advanced converting figure. For kids and adults ages 8 and up

This mold was retooled into the Deluxe Class version of Revenge of the Fallen Dead End and Movie Advanced Series Dino. When Audi was looking to win screen time for one of its cars in the summer films during 2009, Ruben Igielko-Herrlich, a marketing consultant from Propaganda Global Entertainment Marketing, helped the company to find an opportunity in Revenge of the Fallen. Ruben talked the movie's staff into finding a role for the Audi R8. Ultimately, an Audi R8 appears in the film as Sideways. Thus, Sideways became the only car Transformer in the movie whose alternate mode is not manufactured by General Motors. [8] His 2011 Hasbro bio gave him a new quote (one based on what he'd said in the Titan issue quoted up top!) along with a revamped bio that factored in his sniping ability from the console version of the Revenge of the Fallen video game. But the Studio Series Sideswipe is definitely the better of all three in my opinion. He is not too overly complicated to transform, he can actually stand pretty good but it does take a few times standing him to get the hang of it (got to adjust the toes just right), highly poseable, and he has both gun and sword options. I love the fact the swords can detatch if you want to replicate the scene in ROTF where he cut Sidesways in two. This character article is a stub and is missing information on their video game appearances. You can help Transformers Wiki by expanding it. A metallic redeco of Swerve (itself a retool of Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Class Sideswipe sporting an alternate head sculpt), presumably as an homage to Generation 1 Sideswipe. Chris Mowry had planned for Barricade to appear and be turned into Sideways in Transformers: Alliance, but Hasbro rejected the idea. [6] Sideswipe's instructions aren't clear as to how his torso is supposed to connect with his chest in robot mode. The torso piece has a square peg on top of it and there is a corresponding square hole between the two screws holding the front of his chest together. Getting his torso section in front of his arm struts can be a somewhat snug fit.
