About this deal

Wi-Fi connection time is guaranteed to be instant with both these models. A fast connection is offered by both models, for WiFi as well as Bluetooth. Guarantee To improve bass and lows, Bose Bass Module 500 and Bass Module 700 are both made to be used with Bose soundbars and surround speakers. Generally, these Bass tones are carried well across all music genres. Whether you’re looking to embolden the bass guitar in a Red Hot Chili Peppers song or if you’ve got a penchant for drum and bass, the Bose Bass Module 500 can deliver. The bass tone comes down to the 5-and-a-quarter-inch driver. This ensures all bass notes are crisp and powerful.

A larger size, the 700 has much more of a boxy look so isn’t ideal for compact spaces. Nevertheless, the base is smaller which makes the subwoofer seem to be floating in the air. After pairing, the app reported that I had a Bass Module 700 instead of the Bass Module 500. That’s weird. I tried to redo everything by removing all accessory speakers and attempted to add the Bass Module 500 again but the same thing happened. The app keeps reporting that I have a Bass Module 700 after pairing. It probably doesn’t make much difference but I was worried that it might not calibrate the system correctly if it thought I had the more powerful 700 instead of the 500 paired to the soundbar. The app does allow you to adjust the bass level to suit your taste. The wireless connectivity also makes it really easy to set up the Bose Bass Module 500. All you have to do is connect it to your Bose Smart Soundbar via Wi-Fi. Once connected, you can control your entire Bose sound system from the Bose Music App. Colour

It’s a different story when it comes to the weight of the two models. The Bose Bass Module 700 weighs nearly three times as much as the 500. This is a significant leap in weight. Whether this serves as a limitation or a benefit for the 700 is debatable. If your TV is HDMI-CEC enabled, you can connect the Bose TV Speaker to your TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately) and continue to use the remote control you are already familiar with to control your TV. HDMI-CEC will allow the Bose TV Speaker to automatically turn on when you turn on your TV and your existing remote control will control the Bose TV Speaker volume. The small scale of the Bose Bass Module makes it easy for you to fit it into any room set-up. This is a particularly good bass booster if you’ve got limited space. Normally, bass boosters come in heavy, bulky sizes – not this model from Bose. They’ve effectively reinvented the bass booster for those who like their sound set-up taking minimal space. Connectivity

The maximum output power of the Bose Bass Module 700 is ‎800 Watts. This figure is more than the Bose Bass Module 500. This maximum output power is only an estimate. How many watts does the Bose Bass Module 500 feature? Overall, the Bose Bass Module 500 serves as a worthy companion to the Bose Soundbar. Both work together to deliver premium sound. Size When you stand them side by side, it’s obvious that the Bose Bass Module 700 is the more premium option of the two. This is due mostly to the premium glass top that gives the Bose Bass Module a special shine. The sound experience created by Dolby Digital-boosted Module 700 transports you to whichever movie or Netflix show you’re watching. For example, a rainforest scene will feel as though it’s taking place in your living room. Similarly, playing a live album through these speakers will teleport you to the concert.

One appealing aspect of the Bose Bass Module 500 is that it’s almost a complete cube. Although its sides aren’t technically the same length, it does carry the look of a perfect cube. This small and neat scale allows you to fit it almost anywhere in your room. Obviously, being smaller, it’s a better option that the Bass Module 500 if you’re short on space. The build quality is top-notch, and the design is sleek and modern. The Bass Module 500 doesn’t just sound great; it looks great too. The remote control is user-friendly, allowing me to fine-tune the bass to my preference with ease.

Adding the subwoofer to the soundbar was easy. To do this, I plugged the subwoofer to an AC outlet and used the Bose Music App to add it to the soundbar. It detected the Bass Module 500 Subwoofer and I was able to easily paired it with the soundbar. I like that it is wireless so it can be placed at any convenient location rather than be tied to the soundbar. I have it placed next to my sofa.

The Bose Bass Module 700 has a more diverse range of features. This includes QuietPort Technology which helps keep distortion and port turbulence to a minimum. The Bose Bass Module 700 is also the only one to feature DTS, which assists with audio compression. These, in addition to the 700’s longer driver, ensure this model produces the best sound quality. When it comes to hooking up your bass booster, you have more connectivity options with the Bose Bass 700. For example, you can connect to the 700 models via either an HDMI cable or a Digital Optical Cable. On the other hand, you can only connect a Bose Bass Module 500 via an HDMI cable. Features The model has a sophisticated design with a high-quality tempered glass top. It also uses a nominal voltage of 120 volts and a power supply to assure maximum performance.
