About this deal

Before they created the wonderful sitcom Ghosts, an extraordinary raft of talented writers and performers adapted Terry Deary’s popular history books – and ended up making the best sketch series since The Fast Show.

Bright, fast, cute and obnoxious, SpongeBob became a phenomenon by lightly watering down the aesthetic that John Kricfalusi pioneered with Ren & Stimpy. But this is no mere copycat. At its best, SpongeBob is violently inventive comic genius. In February 1968, Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart took over from Crowther and was the host for eleven years, attracting more than 17million listeners. The style became less cosy and less reverent. As tastes changed, new favourites were added; pop records, as opposed to records specifically for children, were requested more frequently as the 1970s progressed. [ citation needed] Among the records frequently played were "A Windmill in Old Amsterdam" by Ronnie Hilton, " Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh" by Allan Sherman and "My Brother" by Terry Scott. The show was peppered with catch-phrase jingles such as "'Ello Darlin'", recorded by an unknown patient at a hospital in Billericay and " Happy Birthday to You" sung by an eight-year-old boy from a football club in Crosskeys, on the team coach after the match. The Ello Darlin jingle was featured until Stewart's last show in 2015, although Rice did revive it on the 2020 and 2021 Christmas editions. [8] All magazines sent by 1st Class Mail UK & by Airmail worldwide (bar UK over 750g and children's magazines with large free gifts which may go 2nd Class). Some of my earliest memories of children’s TV are of watching Rainbow with Geoffrey, Bungle the bear, George the pink hippo and Zippy, the – well, whatever Zippy was. There were songs from Rod, Jane and Freddy and I can also vividly remember singing a rude version of the theme song in the school playground which was the funniest thing ever at the time. Do you remember any of the TV programmes I loved as a child? What are your childhood TV favourites? This is the only BBC Children's Favourites VHS to include Joshua Jones and Tales of the Tooth Fairies. There has been no shortage of great screen adaptations of London’s most famous bear from darkest Peru, but this 1970s stop-motion animation is the only one scripted by Michael Bond himself. It’s a wry, lo-fi delight, unfailingly soothing and smile-inducing.

Scheherryzade and the Arabian Nights-1991 >''*Sesame Street 123: A Counting Book from 1 to 100-1991 The programme played requests from children of all ages. For the first 11 years of its run, the programme was introduced by Derek McCulloch, known as Uncle Mac. McCulloch's grandfatherly tone was quintessentially 'old-school' BBC. [2] His opening words "Hello children, everywhere!", his catch-phrase was a modification of his much earlier closing words "Goodnight children, everywhere" on Children's Hour. [3] Looking like Mr Bean reincarnated as a claymation bird, this resoundingly quirky animation has captured the hearts of multiple generations. It’s a pleasingly retro slice of stop-motion fun that traverses child-pleasing toilet humour and physics-defying absurdity.Children wrote in with requests often just to get their names mentioned on the radio. McCulloch ensured that all types of music were played whatever the majority had requested: not just children's pieces but a wide range of music from pop to hymns to the light classics. [4] The signature tune until the mid-1960s was Puffin' Billy by Edward White played by the Melodi Light Orchestra. Presenting the day’s news in a child-friendly, never patronising way, the bulletin show – which started as John Craven’s Newsround in 1972 – still delivers. It’s even broken stories, including the loss of the Space Shuttle Challenger in 1986. This era-defining show has broken numerous longest-running TV records since its 1989 debut. The first 10 or 12 seasons hail from a brilliant golden age of US TV: empathetic, funny, exciting and clever all at the same time, with characters that are relatable, inspiring and hilarious. At last, all of your friends from Children's Television together on one video with 10 GREAT ADVENTURES! Let's see what they're all doing...

Peppa Pig has started to be pushed aside now in favour of Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom. This follows the adventures of Ben the elf, Holly the fairy and the other inhabitants of the Little Kingdom. It’s another one which the girls love on one level but there are little jokes that are funny from an adult perspective too. These are the credits to the seventeen programmes on this video, whereas the Pingu episode on this video has one uncredited detail. This is the water that all other children’s shows swim in. Funny, intelligent and proudly inclusive, it boasts legendary characters including Big Bird and Elmo, who have acted as substitute parents for generations of kids around the world. Junior Choice is a BBC Radio programme originally broadcast from 1967 until 1982 with Christmas specials from 2007 until 2015 and again since 2017. Originally broadcast on the BBC Light Programme on Saturday mornings from 9.10 to 9.55 (later, 9.00–10.00), and later BBC Radio 1, and BBC Radio 2, its precursor from 1952 was entitled Children's Choice, echoing the weekday Housewives' Choice, [1] then from 1954, Children's Favourites. Fun to Learn Favourites features your children’s best loved TV characters, like the Mr Men, Thunderbirds, PJ Masks, PAW Patrol, Baby Shark, Peppa Pig, Hey Duggee and more!

The original seasons of John Cunliffe’s show about rural delivery hiccups are far superior to the whizz-bang reboot. Pottering round Greendale with the most relaxed public-sector employee ever and his firmly unmagical cat is an absolute delight. This deeply funny, sweet show follows Dipper and Mabel – children who are spending summer in the paranormal-incident-bedevilled town of the title. In each episode they grapple with spooky phenomena, while dealing with the usual 12-year-old troubles. Destined to be a classic. Colin Fox as the Professor, Stephanie Morgenstern as Tiger Lily and Wayne Robson as the Sage of Um. The Muppets have been entertaining families for generations, and they are the only act featured here to land a Number 1 album. In 1977, The Muppet Show dethroned The Beatles and spawned the Top 10 hit Halfway Down The Stairs. After a 32-year absence, Kermit, Miss Piggy and co. returned to the Top 40 in 2009, teaming with Queen for a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. Related artists Noddy is proving himself to be a real friend in NODDY AND THE BROKEN BICYCLE and Pingu and his little sister Pinga are behaving very badly indeed in PINGU AND PINGA AT HOME. Those Funnybones skeletons, Little and Big, are trying to swap Dog for a better pet in THE PET SHOP and little Katie gets the best birthday present in the world in POSTMAN PAT'S FINDING DAY.

A slide showing 2 children's titles, " Pingu 4 - Pingu the Chef" and " The Very Best of Watch with Mother". All of the best loved BBC characters on one bumper length video. 8 of television's most popular children's characters including Noddy, Pingu, Postman Pat, Fireman Sam and Joshua Jones plus the new Tales of the Tooth Fairies. Eco-warrior legends The Wombles have an incredible 26 years of history on the Official Chart, and while they haven't manage to net a Number 1, they did collect four Top 10 hits. Wombling Merry Christmas is their highest charting single, peaking at Number 2 in 1974. The Muppets Still going strong after 65 years, Blue Peter is the longest-running children’s TV show ever. From the covetable Blue Peter badge to its “Here’s one I made earlier” catchphrase, the educational magazine show remains a staple of British culture. The exact reason to why the two characters from Woodland Animations Ltd which are ' Postman Pat' and ' Charlie Chalk' and two characters from Bumper Films Ltd for S4C and Prism Art and Design Ltd which are ' Joshua Jones' and ' Fireman Sam' are featured on this exact video together because they are both two shows both done by each of the two different companies.
