Created by Sidonie Lancaster and Michel Almairac, who was already co-responsible for the creation of the popular Chloé Eau de Parfum and who also co-developed my beloved Chloé Eau de Toilette. The first thing you get with Roses de Chloé is a noseful of the most beautiful red roses in full bloom. After 10 minutes, it becomes a trite red rose with maybe some red berries it it. While not being all bad, it reminds me of red gummi bears. I don't hate it, but it also does not excite me as well. Imagine a fresh field of roses, soaked in dew as it dries in the sun. Precisely how it smells to me after it dries down. I was very excited to try this and on first sniff I was somewhat disappointed as it smelled like something I already owned. Then I realised it was Montale Crystal Flowers!

Longevity is very long at 10+ hours. I may not smell it but others do and people wonder where are the roses until they realize it's someone's perfume. So yes, it does capture the smell of a rose garden right here in Houston if not in Paris. Chloé is launching the Eau de Toilette edition of their Chloé Signature perfume called Chloé Rose Tangerine. The fragrance is suitable for every situation in life, for everyday life, festivities or office.da There are so many different fragrances, every woman, every age finds their matching Chloé fragrance, without having to do without the typical Chloé signature.A little bit of citrus is mixed in, but just enough to keep this smelling perfectly like fresh wet roses. Nothing at all like Tea Rose from Perfumer's Workshop (sorry!) that the sour citrus slaps you like a lemon peel across the face. I don't wear citrus well at all so that's why I couldn't wear that one well. On my skin, Rose Tangerine lasts a little more than 5 hours in total. The performance wasn’t too great and I wish I could squeeze a few more hours of wear out of it. Kind of a weak point. Chloe is such a nice house that I never paid the attention it deserved. Maybe there are too many editions like EDP, EDT, EDT (new), Rose (limited edition), thank God Roses de Chloe will be with us forever, Love story and it goes on... The first hour or two, this one is pretty moderate while still being very noticeable. Projects from the skin in the 4-6 foot range for that duration. Then, it’ll move into the 1-3 foot range for the rest of the way.

The first because of it's modern spin with the added lemon and green notes at first - smelling youthful and crisp. And as for the second due to it's robust rosy body, an ingredient sure to make the elder swoon because of how refreshingly modern it made such an usual scent feel. Roses de Chloe is a feminine, lush rose scent, accented with citrusy notes to keep it from being girlish and rooting it in subtle sophistication. This kind of rose scent is romantic however, like taking a stroll through a rose garden in late Spring wearing a white dress. A fresh and feminine fragrance suited to a free spirit with an utterly innate sense of chic. The scent takes the classic rose and ingeniously translates it into a vibrant perfume, intimate and sensual. Chloé Eau de Parfum begins with a combination of floral powdery notes, hints of peony and lychee and springtime freesia. The airy, flirtatious head notes drift away to reveal the richer and more sensual side of the rose. The distinctive character of this unique rose is accompanied by magnolia and lily of the valley, as well as subtle intimations of warm amber and elegant cedarwood. Aaabut...my last fragrance post included a bottling of this scent. It was hot that day, the day was stressful I was slightly irritable (but only slightly) and I had a few things to do on the PC.

Definitely a mimosa perfume, at least that’s what I smell more clearly, and the rose is the May kind of rose, fresh and lemony so blends in with the lemon. I really like mimosa, so quite happy with it. It is a soft innocent type of scent but does not disappear in 2 hours- I can still smell where I sprayed this on my arm quite clearly 3-4 hours later. It reminds me a bit of Iris Perle from Les Indemodables. In that one the clary sage gives spark to the mimosa, and here the cassis and lemon do the same. Nice. First impression is I like it. With rose tangerine it is not a fragrance that slays you. For people with a preference for very present fragrances Chloé rose tangerine is definitely nothing. Like all fragrances from the series, this is also very close to the body and discreet. When I was browsing at the store for a summer scent, this one stood out to me more than any of the others. Among all of the florals and gourmand and spicy scents, this is the only one that didn't blur together with all the others. I felt shamed by the clerk because she called it "granola" but I guess in a way that's what I was looking for: a scent that smells natural, comfortable, playful and adventurous. It smells like a nice hike.This perfume needs time to develop for the scent to show its velvety, yellow floral mimosa base. Mimosa is the star of the show in this one, so if you are expecting a heavy, intense rose you will be disappointed. Mimosa is powdery, soft, elegant, not something I experience in most modern perfumes I’ve sampled. As I get further along, this is light and still decent. It’s a rose and cedar freshness with a citrus zest. I don’t get much development beyond that, maybe some amber, but not to the point where it stands out on me. Being someone that dislikes (some) synthetics, I am always quite happy to try natural perfume as no chance of encountering them. Not sure what 100% natural means here, but it did not scratch me in that way and it smells quite natural. About 2 months ago, I tried it again. This time with no expectations. It is what it is, and you know what? I loved it. I think I might just love it more than the original. The original is beautiful, but at times on my skin can be too high pitched and sharp rather than natural. Roses is warmer, muskier (which I like), and more natural.
