About this deal

The Whisper is super powerful and extremely quiet. The smart structure of double fan blades makes the product up to 7x more powerful than traditional fans. In addition, the Whisper is very quiet with a noise level of 13 decibels. Duux says that the Whisper Flex Smart can circulate 710 cubic metres (m 3) of air per hour. For the outright volume of air moved, this places it more in line with the Meacofan 650 Air Circulator (which circulates 650m 3), rather than the Meacofan 1056. In theory, this means the larger Meacofan is more effective than the Whisper Flex Smart, but you’d probably only notice it in the largest rooms. This fan’s powerful output, combined with its ability to point almost straight upwards, means you can point it at a ceiling for effective, draft-free air circulation. Whisper Flex: the first design fan with the option to make it completely wireless. Thanks to the free smartphone app and optional battery, you can use this fan anywhere and take it with you; For example, to your bedroom or that place in your garden where you like to read a book. It is adjustable in height and transforms effortlessly from table to floor model due to the horizontal and vertical swing. And the best part? It’s whisper-quiet, so you can focus on that one book or go to sleep peacefully. The second pedestal fan on our list, the Duux Whisper Flex differentiates itself by the internal battery, which lets this fan operate for up to 18 hours without being plugged into the mains. Best fan ever! I have a dyson fan or 400 euros but so happy I bought this. The natural fashion where it simulates wind like outside is amazing. In that fashion it will automaticfit the speed to simulate the wind outside. In this fashion you can still set the max speed which is great. Swiveling Horizontal and Vertical is completely Without Noise. It works very well but I don’t use it. I have positioned it in the middle at the foot end of the bed and both and my girlfriend Feel the air. With natural fashion on the fan and ocean sounds on google home it’s like we are lying on the beach! I don’t understand people say it’s too Expective. It’s 99 euros or 149 euros to have it with wifi so you can control with an app and Google Home. The fan is super Quiet. If I set it to a position that matches the air strength of the dyson this duux is very quiet while the dyson sound like a jet twaking off. A conventional fan chops the air which causes that vibrating sounds so typical of those fans. This fan has a double blade design which Fixes this vibrating for a large part. So Happy with this fan and for a very fair price consulting the functionality, innovation and design. Well Done Duux, hope you do well as everyone should hear about your whisper fans! Meer lezen

So should you buy the Duux Whisper Flex Ultimate Fan? Well, this fan is an investment, coming in at nearly twice the price of the second most expensive fan we've reviewed, the EcoAir Kinetic Fan, and over eight times more expensive than the much cheaper Honeywell Turbo Force Power Fan, so it really all depends on your budget and how much you value the Duux Whisper Flex Ultimate Fan's five main plus points. It’s up against some stiff competition in the stellar Meaco 1056P, however, which has a little more welly and slightly lower power consumption for a slightly lower price. Your choice really comes down to which style you prefer and whether you think app and voice controls are worth the extra. Either way, you’re getting an exceptional pedestal fan.

My favourite feature by far is the addition of a ‘natural wind mode’ function. As an alternative to the ‘regular mode’ which delivers consistent airflow, the ‘natural wind mode’ does what it says in its title, delivering a much more natural feeling breeze thanks to the automatic variation of the airflow. If you’re sat directly in front of the fan then this 'natural breeze' feels much more pleasant on the skin than a steady flow of air. We like this fan’s smart capabilities. Duux’s app is easy to use, and the fan is easy to control by voice or integrate into your smart home routines. However, unlike an air conditioner or heater, there’s little point running a fan when nobody’s in the room. This makes us question just how much value the capability adds, fun though it is. The AirGo Smart Fan was supposedly the UK’s first smart pedestal fan, so has some serious heritage to build on. It’s also Quiet Mark approved, making this one of the quietest fans on the market for its 55W power rating.

Then its time to fit the fan to the base, this slots on easily as long as you make sure to align the larger of the two pins in the motor with the largest of the holes on the base plate.

What we look for when picking out the ‘best’ fans in this category.

While we tend to prefer the more modern and slightly more efficient designs of tower fans, the greater power and airflow of a pedestal fan definitely still has a place in a lot of homes.

The Whisper Flex is an all-rounder. It has 26 modes, is energy efficient and has a powerful motor with dual fan blades. In addition, thanks to the horizontal and vertical swing, the wind blows in all directions. And all this with minimal noise production. The fan not only rotates in horizontal and vertical directions, but in a combination of both: a tilt of no less than 90⁰ horizontally and 105⁰ vertically, with three intermediate settings. Natural Breeze mode simulates real wind, alternating from a light breeze to a strong gust. The timer can be set from 0 to 12 hours and switches off automatically. In night mode, the screen automatically dims so that you are not disturbed in your sleep. The height adjustment comes down to the addition or subtraction of the 'extension tube', so there are only two height options – the extension-tube-less 60cm height, that's perfect for sitting on top of a desk, bedside table, or sideboard, and the 104cm height that you can create by adding the extension tube in to turn the fan into a freestanding pedestal. Typical of this fan is its enormous power. A strong stream of cool air is easily blown up to 15 meters. Ideal if you want to cool a larger room. You can simply operate the Whisper from your chair, with the handy remote control. Choose which mode you prefer: one speed, \’natural wind\’ or, for example, the night mode where you are lulled to sleep by the whooshing of the wind.

There are 3-speed settings, a timer that can be set for up to 8 hours, and a scheduling mode, letting you set up your fan to turn on, for example, half an hour before you get home. In night mode, the display turns off completely after 10 seconds to ensure a good night\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’s sleep. The display can be reactivated by pressing the control button. At the lowest speed, the fan produces only 13 dBa and thanks to the double blade design, the cutting wind noise is reduced.

Temperature controlled

So why is this not our top choice, because this is basically the best-bladed fan on the list? Simple. Price. Smart fans save you money by regulating their usage. A fan isn’t particularly expensive to run, but the costs add up over time. By reducing the time that your fan is on, or running at high speeds Convenience There’s also a timer function that lets you set a time duration between 1-12 hours after which the fan will automatically switch off; a night mode that automatically turns the LCD display off after 10 seconds for nighttime use; and a temperature function whereby the fan will measure the ambient room temperature against your desired setting and will automatically decrease its speed once the goal temperature is reached.
