About this deal

It is safe to say that I will be a lifetime customer, and will be spreading to the word to all my red headed friends. For total coverage, apply the henna all the way up to your scalp. You may notice some slight staining, but it typically fades with a couple of hair washes. [13] X Research source I love this henna’s color! After my first application the color truly looked like a nice, dark cherry shade. I was expecting that color already, but it was better than I expected! Of course, the color did fade after a few weeks, but it lasted much longer than I expected! And my hair was still a nice red shade after over a month, albeit it wasn’t as bold as when I first dyed it. I love it! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair, plus it almost matches my ginger sibling’s natural red hair color!

If you’re hair is really bright and orange the first day after dyeing it, don’t worry, that’s normal. Like I said, it takes around three days for the true colour of henna to come through and during that time it will deepen. Unlike conventional hair dyes, henna doesn’t fade. You just need to touch up the roots of your hair as it grows out. It can be drying, so I suggest coconut oil slathered on in advance, followed by a light palm coating of Jojoba or Sweet Almond oil afterward. If you want to, you can do an raw honey, egg & oil mask after washing your hair of developer. Egg has protein, honey and oil will soften and moisturize your hair. The henna colour was most noticeable when I had my hair out and stood in the sunlight. As you can see in the above images, when my hair was tied up, the red colour wasn’t as visible. Henna Red Hair Dye One word: Awesome color! I have dark brown, curly hair that is a mix of 3b,3c curls, about 5-10% grey with natural red highlights (I come from a family containing a couple of gingers). So I have been using henna to mask the white and blend with my natural hair color and highlights for over 3 years. I have just dealt with how long I had to leave regular BAQ henna in (7+ hours) to get my little, stubborn white/gray hairs to take the dye, which would oxidize to a very noticeable red/orange color. This henna mix, on the other hand, turned my white/gray hairs to a beautiful, rich red color that I have been craving in a little over 2 hours! (I accidentally took a 2.5 hour nap after applying the dye.) Natural and safe henna dye – spierb henna dye for hair is premium quality naturally sourced from fresh henna leaves, lawsonia inermis, (also known as mehndi powder or mehendi powder) and its the pure dye is extracted ready to be applied to hair for hair colouring and exponential growth of hair. nature’s own miracle!

Top 5 Henna Hair Dyes

Allow the henna to sink into your hair for 2-3 hours or blow-dry your head with a warm dryer setting for 1.5 hours to expedite setting time (be careful not to hold hair dryer too close to plastic). Of these, I found than none covered the greys at my temples (Lush themselves advise that only Rouge will do this), even when mixed with Rouge. Brun and Marron didn’t make much difference on their own, but came out too dark when mixed with Rouge, and as for Venetien, it made absolutely no difference at all, even when left on for six hours. Will I be using Lush henna hair dye again, then? I let the henna sit on my hair for ten hours (as my hair is quite dark, I wanted to make sure the colour stained well), but you don’t need to leave it as long as I did, three to four hours is usually enough. It really just depends on how deep you want the shade of red to be. Some people just leave it for an hour.

Start applying! Try to avoid getting henna on parts of your hair that are pulled up — the parts that you’re not ready to put henna on yet. Henna can really tangle your hair up if you’re not intentionally trying to put it on a certain area. I have used this (wine red) henna exclusively for nearly 7 years. My hair is healthy, the color is beautiful, and I don’t have to worry about weird chemical reactions. That said, I’ve listed some pointers below that have been helpful over the years with this product: If you have red or auburn hair, you likely won’t see much change with henna. However, it can enhance the natural tones in your hair and cover grays. Bleach and preservatives free – we take pride in providing you 100% natural heena powder for hair which is free of bleach, preservatives, chemicals, ppd, synthetic dyes, additional colors. so it's completely safe and gives natural looking brown color to your hair. its triple shifted fine powder for ease of mixing with water and other herbal powders / herbs such as bhrin...

Preliminary notes

Understand that henna is a commitment. If you’re the type of person that likes to change up their hair super frequently, this will limit your options substantially. I did notice that the application was not as smooth as with other brands I’ve tried, but this didn’t bother me much and won’t deter me from buying again. As for stains: it did stain my fingers a bit when I rinsed it out and when I braided my hair for the night. I washed my hands with shampoo and got nearly all of the stain off. Natural henna hair dye is found in the leaves of the Lawsonia inermis plant, and has been used by people in the Middle East and Asia for centuries. grams body quality henna (I’ve read that the general rule of thumb is 100 grams for short hair, 200 grams for collar-length hair, 300 grams for shoulder-length hair, and 500 grams for waist-length hair)
