About this deal

Specifically, if you’re on an Unlimited Lite plan on Vodafone you’ll be limited to 2Mbps speeds, while standard Unlimited plans on the network top out at 10Mbps. So for unrestricted speeds you need an Unlimited Max plan.

Unlimited Data Plans: 50GB fair use policy applies outside UK. Personal, non-commercial use only. If you regularly tether 12 or more devices, we will consider this non-personal use and have the right to move you to a more suitable plan. We will consider usage above 600GB/month to be non-personal use and have the right to apply traffic management controls to deprioritise your mobile traffic during busy periods or to move you to a business plan. You can gift up to 100GB. Data usage on an unlimited data plan will be deducted from giftable allowance. Any data boost allowance will be added to the giftable allowance. It’s also truly unlimited, includes 5G,and comes in at a competitive price, while being offered on a short-term and flexible 30-day rolling plan. You also get unlimited data for tethering, and seemingly when roaming too, as references to fair usage that used to be present have been removed EE offers a variety of unlimited data SIM Only plans, on a choice of 24-month, 12-month, or 1-month plans. Typically, you’ll pay less per month on longer contracts, but of course you’re also committed for longer. All of these plans also come with unlimited minutes and texts.SMARTY– offers a rolling monthly contract with unlimited data for endless browsing with added flexibility. Things to watch out for on EE’s unlimited data plan include a fair usage limit of 600GB per month and a limit of 12 devices for tethering and personal hotspot. Full Works iPhone SIM: Only available to iOS customers. Includes access to uncapped speeds, Apple One, Roam Abroad Pass Data Gifting and upgrade anytime. Vodafone now also has an unlimited Pay As You Go plan. It’s a 5G plan that comes with roaming in 51 European countries (with a 25GB monthly roaming limit), and you will also get VeryMe Rewards on all plans – which include things like free movie rentals and tasty treats.

Beyond these roaming restrictions there is currently no fair usage policy for unlimited data on Three. Asda Mobile launched unlimited data plans later than most, but they’re available now, alongside 5G speeds using Vodafone’s infrastructure. Depending on whether you choose an EE Smart or an EE Full Works price plan, you’ll have either 1 Smart Benefit or 3 Smart Benefits included with it. The Smart Benefits you’re able choose from will depend on the type of plan you’re buying. Next up there’s an ‘Essentials Unlimited plan’, and these plans cap your speeds at 100Mbps, which is fast but not as fast as 5G can potentially get. These plans also add data gifting, so you can move data between your accounts. An ‘Essentials Unlimited Max plan’ is similar, but with no speed restrictions.EE’s unlimited data plans are subject to a fair usage policy which states that you should use under 600GB per month. You also shouldn’t regularly tether 12 or more devices simultaneously, and there’s a 50GB monthly limit when roaming.

No, you won’t lose any service by switching networks to a new SIM only deal. How easy is it to switch networks? Outside of tethering and roaming, which we’ll touch on below, no UK networks have significant fair usage restrictions. One-month contract– these unlimited data, pay-as-you-go SIM only plans offer the most flexibility, allowing you to end your deal and swap to another after just a month. If you’re happy where you are, the contract simply rolls on. Because of this flexibility, they can be more expensive than longer contracts. Virgin Mobile, which uses O2’s network, also offers unlimited data, and while this used to only be available to customers of other Virgin products, it’s now available to everyone at the time of writing. Customers joining EE on a Pay As You Go Plan from 10 March 2023 will have their speed capped at 25 Mbps.

Vodafone has unlimited data but to get a good price, you'll have to have imposed speed restrictions or commit to a two-year contract. EE too has unlimited data but charges some big prices to get it. When tethering, few networks mention any limits, but O2, EE, and Giffgaff say you shouldn’t tether your phone to more than 11 other devices at a time. And of course where networks have fair usage data limits (detailed above) they will apply to tethering too. Roaming abroad The plans are available in 1, 12 or 24-month varieties on SIM Only, or variable lengths with a handset. You can also roam for free in Europe (at least until 2024) and tether. None of these limitations should be a problem for most people though, and in the UK at least EE’s unlimited data plans are virtually unlimited. Can you tether with EE unlimited data? In a lot of cases, the only limit will be your phone, your network’s infrastructure, and the coverage in your area. However, some plans on some networks do have additional limits.

We’ve loved having you with us and moving your service to EE means you’ll still be part of our big mobile family. It’s easy to switch and we’ll be with you every step of the way. Most of the leading mobile networks will offer some kind of scheme for using your SIM on your travels. Some opt for a daily data cap, while others let you use your entire allowance as usual. We’ve mentioned below if there’s a particularly holiday-friendly extra. What extras should I look out for? There is a pretty simple workaround though. As we mentioned above, most of these SIM plans allow for tethering. That means you can simply connect your tablet to your phone's SIM plan and voila - you're all sorted. Those who stream a lot of video, such as Netflix shows, while away from a Wi-Fi connection can also benefit from unlimited data, especially if you want to stream in high quality. Different services use differing data amounts, but if you’re a media fiend then you’re sure to eat through a huge quantity.Apple Music: Data used will be deducted from your plan allowance. Apple Music is for your personal, non-commercial use only. Requires a handset using either the latest iOS version or Android 5 or later. Apple ID required. You must not attempt to share, edit or adapt the content made available to you. Content is variable and may be withdrawn at any time. UK use only. Apple Music terms apply.
