For me, the presets are kind of a hit and miss. Here are the recommended cooking times and temps from the user guide. Vegetables you’d roast or grill: cubed winter or summer squash, root vegetables, broccoli or cauliflower florets, Brussels sprouts. These are fantastic in the air fryer! For a family of 4 and above, if you’re prepared to make some sacrifices and prepare your meals in more than one go, the Uten air fryer will be perfect for you. It can fit surprisingly large amounts of food. Preparing more than 2 lbs (~1 kg) of frozen french fries in one go is perfectly possible here – without any compromises!
Keep your air fryer on a heat-resistant surface. Depending on the material of your countertops, you may need to buy a silicone mat or rolling tray to keep your counters safe. When running this air fryer alongside my Philips air fryer, I noticed that the outside of the Philips model will only get ever so slightly hot to the touch during cooking. The Uten, on the other hand, gets pretty hot to the touch. Not enough to burn yourself, but considerably hotter than the Philips. This tells me the insulation (and possibly energy efficiency) of this unit is not good. Very happy with my air fryer. Looks nice on the side and cuts your cooking time down significantly. Can cook loads of stuff. There are several different air fryer options out there. Air fryers range from small and compact with a basket to air fryer toaster ovens, and there are even some wall ovens that include an air fryer ( learn how to use those here)!
What does an air fryer do? The better question is, what doesn’t an air fryer do? Food cooks fast, faster than you’re used to! It’s one of the best attributes of the air fryer. Your air fryer’s manual likely has a handy table of cooking times and temperatures for common foods. The less food in the basket, the shorter the cook time will be; the more food, the longer it will be.Having the shake reminder on board is a really nice thing, and it proves itself to be especially useful when you leave your food cooking for the full 30 minutes and you need to be reminded to mix it up halfway through, at the 15 min mark. Well, here we go again with another air fryer review and another apparently generic Chinese brand. There’s nothing wrong with being a generic Chinese brand, though, if you can produce a quality air fryer. Do Uten have the credentials to do this?
