The Stable Stompers’ can’t wait to play their big concert in the stable in Bethlehem. They have been practising hard for weeks and are hoping for a big audience that night. But then some angels arrive talking of a young couple – Mary and Joseph – who are expected shortly, not to mention some local shepherds and three travelling kings. Suddenly, the stable animals have other things on their mind than their concert, especially with the arrival of baby Jesus.KG2 sang their hearts out and performed dances to four of the songs, with costumes ranging from children in pjs to villagers, stars, kings and camels. Reception acted out the story beautifully, showing the progression from Kindergarten as we ask the Reception children to stand on stage in the limelight and say their words. Along the journey, we met Caesar and his group of census-takers, angels, shepherds and kings on a journey to follow the star and arrive at the stable for the birth of the baby Jesus.
