I’m annoyed with the ending, not because it is a cliffhanger, but because the major choices the male illogically makes.Chaos Flame 1: The first Chaos Flame is rewarded in Helheim after Kratos takes down the Bridge of the Damned keeper, Mattugr Helson. He is one of the trolls in God of War and has the ability to vanish, as well as spawn orbs that seek out Kratos. Will Knox let go of the memories of the past, driving his need for revenge that will destroy the pretty little witch he craves, or will he push the boundaries to fight for and claim what is his by right? Either way, war is inevitable. And nothing will stop him from reaching for what is his. Audiobook editing pet-peeve: Not enough pause between scenes. The written text might have several extra lines of space between scenes to indicate a shift in time/place/POV, but when audiobooks, like this one, do not leave an extended pause in these same places, it creates confusion and makes it difficult to follow. (And I’m not rewinding to listen again while I’m driving or running!)

The last whole Chaos Flame you can obtain is from an optional (and dangerous) challenge that requires you to take on one of the Berserker Gravestones and defeat the formidable Haklangr the Bearded. Creating a new House of Magic is hard work. Aria knew she had a tall task ahead of her, cleaning up the mess her family had made in the Nine Realms, but nothing could have prepared her for the horrors that awaited within the Nine Realms.

Aria is an amazing heroine and a badass giving the readers everything they want. Even though she’s vulnerable, she doesn’t let people walk over her. The 1st is with the pacing in some areas. The dragging of certain scenes; while not expanding more on the FMC's family history, was disappointing. I'm not sure if I missed discussions or if the info was so briefly discussed that it got lost in everything else going on (esp. when this story is mainly from the FMC's/Aria's POV). Aria and her sisters return to the Human Realm of Haven Falls to find one of their own that’s gone missing. They soon discover things have changed in the Human Realm and that nothing is what it seems, including Knox, the egotistical, self-centered, frustratingly gorgeous man who declared himself King during their absence.

I may try as like I said, that version was superb! One of the best audiobooks I’ve listened too. Good narration is key even when the story is beyond epic.
